Great, versatile, little cymbal

By Chris Parr

from Jefferson City, MO

I've been playing Paiste cymbals for 20+ years, and the signature line is the top of the mountain as far as I'm concerned. This cymbal was purchased to compliment my current setup which includes a 10" sound formula splash, 16" signature full crash, 16" signature power crash, and 19" signature full crash. The 14" signature fast crash fits in perfectly. The sound is higher in pitch, but projects every bit as well as a larger crash. The attack is big and there is just enough sustain. It is a fast crash, so the sustain isn't what you would get with a thicker or larger cymbal. That's just what I was looking for. This cymbal will fit very nicely into any style of music from light jazz to rock. I don't know that this would be a good choice for a hard rock/metal player, but who knows? I'd leave that opinion to someone who plays that style. Bottom line, you can't go wrong with Paiste. Their Signature Line is what cymbals are supposed to sound like, and this cymbal is a perfect link between smaller splashes and average crashes.

Sweet Sounding 16 Fast Crash

By ED DETRICH

from Richmond, Va.

I use to have this Paistes Signature 16" Fast Crash Cymbal. I made the mistake selling it w/ an old drumkit of mine. After years had gone by, I had to go out and buy it again. I'm glad I did. A sound of its own.

Full, deep sound

By ADAM TEWS

from Seattle, WA

My first crash cymbal came down to a choice between a 19" Zildjian K Custom Hybrid, and an 18" Paiste Fast Crash. It was a tough call, but ultimately I love the deep tone of the Paiste. Its sound is super-smooth, and its stick feel is great. You can play it lightly as a washy ride, smash it for a huge crash, and the bell sounds wonderful, too! A very articulate and nuanced cymbal.

I Hate That I Love It...

By Kevin McGovern

from Pittsburgh, PA

Normally I'm a Zildjian guy, see? But I have a K Custom Special Dry Ride that no crash sounded good to play with it--until I heard the 18" Fast Crash from Paiste. And, I have to admit, I am liking the champagne-like sound of the Paistes almost as well as the rich, brandy tones of Big Z. Darn! Anyway, this is a great cymbal, makes its statement then gets out of the way and it sounds well with the dry ride I'm using and I like the way it looks, too. I dunno, maybe time to switch...

Great dependable crash.

By Jake

from Stockbridge, GA

My grandfather bought this cymbal about 15-20 years ago at a pawn shop.(used) And he let me borrow it for a while as long as he wasnt playing any shows. Well, it just now got a tiny hairline crack in it. Its defenitely worth the money. Not to mention it sounds great. Good for riding on for metal or hardcore but soft enough for blues or jazz.

Best cymbal I've ever played.

By Justin Samland

from Westland, MI

I have the 14" Fast crash & let me tell you it's amazing. It has an extreme professional sound. It's exactlyyyy what you want when you're looking for a fast crash. It comes & goes like that. It's a great cymbal to play beats with or sounds great if you just crash it. Great cymbal you won't be let down.

The best!

By Timberwolf 11

from NH

The Paiste signiture line is flawless. I especially like the fast crash series with their bright, crisp, clean attack with evenly balanced harmonic wash and no metalic sounding overtones. Great for any genre of music. If you are looking for a pro sound, this is the real deal!

This cymbal is simply beautiful!!!

By RG

from Austin, TX

I have the 16" version of this cymbal and if my house ever catches fire, this is the only thing I'm bringing out with me! It is the epitomy of a sharp crash cymbal with a very fast response and the perfect pitch. I play rock, my guitarists are louder than doomsday, and this one shines right through the ruckus. The bell is very good for effects-type playing and the edges are great for intro or accentuating cymbal rolls without getting too washy. The Sig Fast Crash is what everybody thinks of when they think of the word cymbal!

Great crash!

By Capz7809

from S.I ,New. York

I got this crash from my brother after he sold all of his drums and cymbal's to buy new one's. He offered this to me for free so how the heck could I have gone wrong. Once mounting the cymbal it was great and havent stoped using it. For over 200 it could be a little high in price but Pasiste stay's behind there products and you know your getting your money's worth.
