Huge sound for a small cost.

By paiste4life101

Comments about Paiste PST 5 China:

This thing is awesome, whether you get either the 18 or 16,you wont be dissapointed.Paiste has proved once agian why there the best cymbal company on the face of the planet. The cymbal provides that explosive attack and quick response with that trashy dry sound that speaks for itself. This can take a beating and sounding the same through whatever you cab dish out. This china easily beats Zildjians low line of chinas as well as sabians.Dont be fooled by this price or the fact that its a low line cymbal, this is what low budget cymbals should sound like,semi- professional, which is all paiste ever provides to drummers on a budget-well worth your money-give it a try and you'll be coming back for more.

O.K.

By conkey drummer

Comments about Paiste PST 5 China:

Well when I first purchased my 18" china i was excited to play it. It sounded great, like a 5 star cymbal, but i gave it a 3.5 The edge of my china bent after maybe a month of using it. It didn't affect my playing, but it looks bad. I don't reccomend this to hard hitters.

paiste pst5 china!!

By Drum722

from Undisclosed

Comments about Paiste PST 5 China:

I went to Guitar Center looking to buy a not so expensive china. I asked the guy working what he recommended and he handed me the paiste pst5. I'm in love with this cymbal. My band plays lots of alternative and semi-hardcore kinda stuff and it fits perfect for the style. It sounds great during those driving break downs. It's also my first Paiste cymbal. I will definitely be buying more in the future. Overall...great cymbal for a great price.

good china

By larsidoldrums342

from detroit, Mi

Comments about Paiste PST 5 China:

The pst5 is a good quality higher end cymbal. It is very loud and has a good trashy sound to it. I was hopeing when I bought this cymbal that ist would sound something like lars ulrichs oriental china. However it did not. But I do like the sound and every thing about it. It is the best cymbal I have had except formy zildjian a custom pack.

One of the best china's out there

By James

from Sauquoit, New York

Comments about Paiste PST 5 China:

Ive been playing in my local church for about a year, and on their set they have an 18" A Custom china. Ive never really liked the sound of it, so i hit up guitar center for a decent china, and low and behold ive found IT. The pst 5 18" china. Not only does it have a nice clear trash sound it also as a fast decay so it dosent sound like your wailing on a gong. Definitely a must have for anyone who seeks to find a solid china.

Its alright.....

By Jake Soto

from THE 53121

Comments about Paiste PST 5 China:

The Pst 5 is an average china. It has a slow decay and its a little to overpowering for me. I like to use it for breakdowns in some of my bands heavier songs, and it adds nice accents for our softer songs. There are chinas for the same price with better sound, but if your a fan of paiste, the decision is up to you!

AMAZING!

By Daniel

from Winter Haven, FL

Comments about Paiste PST 5 China:

Bought the Alpha 18' first thinking it was gonna be great, but was sadly disappointed. Traded it in for this and 18 inch PST 5, and it was the best thing I'd ever done for my drum set. This thing sounds fantastic. Decay is just right, and the tone is good and dark. It works great for breakdowns, don't listen to what anyone else says on that. I've played it at a few live shows, and got tons of compliments afterwards each time. If you're looking for a good, inexpensive china for your hardcore/metalcore or even deathcore band, look no further. This thing competes with higher end chinas easily. Buy it.

awesome china!!

By timothy

Comments about Paiste PST 5 China:

I've had this china since around January 08. Its definatly an amazing cymbal, not just for the price. I own the 18 inch. don't be fooled when it says its dark. its quite bright and has a semi long decay. After the first month mine bent a little but that was it. it sounds just as good and hasnt bent anymore. Its great for a crash china or a ride china. but for breakdowns not so well, if your looking for a "breakdown-ish" china i suggest wuhans line of inexpensive but dark chinas. overall it is an amazing well-worth-the-money china cymbal.

Really Good Cymbal

By Makz

from Laredo, Texas

Comments about Paiste PST 5 China:

When I started drumming I face the difficult decision of which brand of cymbals to get. My parents bought me some paiste pst 3. I bought this china due to lack of cash and I was really amazed it sounded so good I just can't believe it is from paiste low line. I really recommend this product to guys starting and even to guys with some time in the business.

Great china, great value.

By Ben

from Warwick, RI

Comments about Paiste PST 5 China:

I went to guitar center to try out some chinas to replace a cracked Sabian. I asked if there was a quality china for cheap and he handed me this. I put it on a set and it sounded great. It was trashy but still had a bright tone to it. I bought it later that week during the list event. It sounds great and looks great as well. I'm looking forward to buying the 16" in the future.

Good for the price

By bob marley

from cherry hill nj

Comments about Paiste PST 5 China:

I Decided to get this cymbal for myself on Chrismas, and It is a very very solid cymbal, i dont ever feel like its going to break for a long time. Im only rateig in 5 stars because it is truly a good cymbal, but i Strongly dislike it. I play mostly metalcore/deathcore when i use this cymbal, and its to washy for that, i would like it to be trashyier. But this cymbal is also very loud, and can overpower the drumset if you smack it to hard

Top Notch. Paiste is the best!

By Adam Green

from Cincinnati, Ohio

Comments about Paiste PST 5 China:

I've had the 18" china for about a year and the 16" for maybe half a year and they have never failed me! Always provided a great trashy sound. Deeper for the 18", cutting and bright for the 16". The 18" just cracked but only because the faulty cymbal holder supporting it broke and dropped it on the floor. Paiste is a sick cymbal brand. Just don't let it fall on the floor
