Overall, these are hats are a very good buy. they sound realy nice, if on the bright side, and they're very durable. my only complaint is that they can be a little quiet at times, but that probably just comes from me buying the 13's. I would definately buy these again.
They're 13" hi-hats, so not many feature to speak of. They have a decent bell, sound great closed and pretty decent open.
The quality is exactly as I expected from them. No cracks, no key holes out of box. I hit a little on the hard side most of the time, and so far they hold up fine.
I got the 13"s, so i only paid like... 76$ for them and so far it's an excellent value. These were the first hi-hats I purchased for myself (not the first set I played) and I plan on keeping them for a long time.

      nice for the price

Comments about Paiste PST 3 Hi-Hats:

I got these hats as a hand me down from a good friend, and had them for about 7 yrs. they are nice for the price. they have a nice bright sound, but I will be upgrading to some sabian hats soon, great for beginners, OK for intermediates, I'm still going to use these hats on my kit, gonna put a closed hihat attatchment and use for accents. If you're on a budget get these for sure. I have the 13" but I suggest the 14" for rock/metal players.

      13 inch for two years

      By Fernando-gddT4

Comments about Paiste PST 3 Hi-Hats:

These hats are ok. I got them in the two packs with the 18 crash/ride. The click can be chunky which, for me at least, doesn't sound too great. Open they sound pretty cool though. Recording, not bad, again the chunk doesn't provide too much clarity, but hey. However, when I saw that alone these hats only costed about $75, I was in shock. These are good hats for $75! Beginners, here ya go. But if you're more intermediate or have a little more cash, I say go for something a little more quality

      Very good Hi-hats

Comments about Paiste PST 3 Hi-Hats:

I've only had a drumset for a year and a half, but I've had these cymbals for a year and they are still in perfect shape. The only real complaint is if you want to play quite it can sound chunky. Open, they sound really amazing. I'd recommend them to really anyone.

      My Old Friends

      By Jaymes Palmer

      from Mohave valley, AZ

Comments about Paiste PST 3 Hi-Hats:

When I first started playing drums I bought the Paiste 13" Hi-hats in a Paiste cymbal pack that also came with an 18" crash ride, nice pair, anyways that was in december of 2005, and five years later I'm sad to say that they finally need replacing. The sound was what I needed for my styles of music, low tuned drums, and cymbals that would stand out while complementing. They were the perfect pair those Hi-hats, but even with a two inch crack on both cymbals they still sound the same as when I first got them for christmas. Durability is great, Sound is bright open and flexible, I'd definatly recoment the Paiste 13" Hats to anyone who is just starting out and does not know what sound they are looking for yet, or even to the experienced players looking for the perfect brightness.

      Good budget hats

      By Bushrat-nJdII

Comments about Paiste PST 3 Hi-Hats:

You won't find Jo Jo Mayer playing these but for what you pay,....well I've heard a lot worse. They have a pretty decent chic...they are not bad closed, maybe a little clangy but what the heck...they can be very loud if you need volume. I have them as practice hats and IMO it was a very good deal . You could gig with these if you had to and no one would know the difference. Very good metal or rock hats...maybe not Jazz.
