Alpha cymbals were first launched by Paiste in 1992. Today, the Alpha brand is synonymous with dependability, and the cymbals are well known for their first-class sound and fair prices. The Alpha Series is now available in a Brilliant Finish, once again advancing these trusted qualities.

The cymbal's brilliant look is accomplished by skilled craftsmen who hand polish the cymbals to a mirror perfect finish in the final production stage. Prior to that, top-notch hi-tech processes give Alpha cymbals their initial shape and strength. They are further enhanced by traditional hand-hammering.

Alpha cymbals have become very popular among professional artists, especially in rock and metal. Working with such drummers, Paiste developed new cymbal models to expand the arsenal available for players in these genres.

Paiste Alpha cymbals have developed a strong following in recent years and are today endorsed by numerous working drummers all over the world, such as Jeremy Spencer of Five Finger Death Punch, Jason Sutter with Chris Cornell, Dave Witte of Municipal Waste, Tommy Portimo of Sonata Arctica, and Steven Spence of Black Tide.

Great Sound, Short Life

By Roger Gundy

from Twin Lake, MI

I bought this as my first Paiste cymbal and loved the sound; it was relatively loud, had a great ring to it, and had a fine decay. I'd still use the cymbal but after 1 year it's cracked 5 inches from the outside, inwards. Originally, it started to develop a 2 inch crack that was in the middle of the cymbal, as opposed to the outside. Also, the crack was in a direction away from the bell, which seemed strange to me. In any case, after strenuous playing, the crack reached out to the edge and now I have to use my warranty on the cymbal. For the price, it is definitely a great purchase. I may upgrade, but would be fine still using this line of Paiste.

Amazing For The Money

By Julian LaRocca

from Maryland

I bought the 16" & 18" and let tell you these are amazing cymbals. they work for any style of music and have no overtones. They are full and bright with just the right sustain. Lastly they have a great dynamic range.

I got me the 16" and haven't looked back. It's like your own personal golden sun on a stick! It shines and shimmers and just begs you to hit it. And the absolute bomb is it sounds like a crash cymbal! I mean, you lay into the thing, and it sings you this sweet, slightly sustained song of pure crashdom! It's got a great build-up as well, and the bell gives a short, crisp ping like a raindrop on a samurai's sword tip. Get one. Make music. Props to Paiste.

I own the 18" and I have to say, "I love it!" It sounds amazing, is very durable, and is a beautiful cymbal. I would pay a lot more for a cymbal of this quality and sound!

I just got the 18" and it's even better that I expected. This cymbal looks and sounds like it's worth so much more than what it's priced at. This is the first time I've ever loved a cymbal the day I got it. Every other cymbal I've ever had has taken me a couple of days to get used to. This was love at first hit. BUY THIS RIGHT NOW!

Amazing and affordable

By Kevin

from Los Angeles, CA

I went into my local guitar center and literally tried every single cymbal in the drum room. I came across these babies and i was blown away. For the price they were amazing!!! I compared them to Sabian AAX and quality wise they were about equal. These cymbals are full, clean, and crisp. You DO NOT GET ANY OVERTONES that make the cymbal sound as if your hitting peace of cut metal. They are also extremely durable ive had them for about a year and I hit them with 5B's and im a rock drummer. I hit my drums HARD!!! And for the price these are amazing, i now have an 14 inch with me to acompany my 18 inch and ive never ever looked back i recommend these to any one looking for a serious upgrade they will never ever dissapoint you
