Comments about Paiste Alpha Complete Metal Cymbal Pack:

MY drummer just bought this package about a month ago and they sound fantastic! Much brighter, louder, and more powerful than any drummer's I've heard (non-pro). And they're beautifully designed with a shiny finish. A great buy, considering he purchased them for almost half the price but STILL a great pack! Any one who wants to feel the drive of a powerful set should get these. Just AMAZING!

Alpha Metal pack

from Hudson, MA

Comments about Paiste Alpha Complete Metal Cymbal Pack:

First off, GC shipped these to me in 1 enormous box, scattered individually in that box. They were not in the Paiste box advertised. Very disappointed, as 2 of my cymbals had scratches. Now, on to the cymbals themselves. LOVE THEM. They are heavy. Visually impressive with the brilliant look. I get compliments on how great they look at every gig I play. Each cymbal cuts like a knife through all music genre's my band plays. I find I don't beat on these because they are just that loud. The bell on the crashes, ride and splash are ENORMOUS. Love that feature. It allows more use of each cymbal. I don't have to rely just on the ride bell. I can use the bell on any one of them to achieve different sounds. The only reason I gave these cymbals a 4 is because of the bad shipping by GC. Otherwise, I highly recommend them.

Amazing METAL cymbals.

Comments about Paiste Alpha Complete Metal Cymbal Pack:

I bought this pack about 4 months ago or so. When I brought it home and set it up with my kit I was absolutely amazind by the sounds of each cymbal. The ride has such a powerful sound and the bell has amazing cut. Both the 18" and 20" crashes put together sound fantastic. The splash has such a cool high pitched sound. The hats are great as well. They have a nice chick and beautiful stick definition. The only thing is, if you dont play metal or hardcore music than these are not the cymbals for you. I play in a band and when my bandmates came over and we play I realized these cymbals weren't for the rock sound we were trying to get. I rated them 5 stars because I cant hate on these cymbals because they are amazing for metal and I should've realized they're called metal cymbals for a reason lol. If you're into metal than definetely buy these cymbals.

Clean and LOUD

Comments about Paiste Alpha Complete Metal Cymbal Pack:

Just got these cymbals when putting my new kit together. They sound amazing, perfect for aggressive, fast playing where stick definition and presence are a must. The ride has a solid and definite ping to it (Inferno from Behemoth plays a 24" alpha rock ride which is pretty close) with a controllable wash that gets easily drowned out by the volume of the other cymbals and drums. The crashes are perfect, one long and the other short, the hats are crisp and not too gongy and the splash sounds full and rich. As a complete setup, everything sounds good together; but I also have a Wuhan china and it's thin, short sound sticks out like a sore thumb. Every member of this set is heavy and thick sounding so plan your fx cymbals accordingly. Thin Chinas and splashes will not sound the greatest (but there are some less expensive and still heavy options still out there). I play with ear buds in to keep volumes reasonable and no clarity is lost; the treble and presence cuts right through and provides a bright and clear picture, keeping up with the kick, snare and toms perfectly. I will say that these cymbals are not the most versatile (save the hihat and 18" crash) and do have a very specialized sound. You will not get the sandy wash of a Meinl Benny Greb ride or anything but you will have a good cymbal for speed and aggression. Basically, it's a better deal than any other metal cymbals out there and given the quality offered, why do anything else? Sabians sound similar but cost twice as much. Boo. Go for the Alpha metals you won't be disappoint.

Vibrant sound

Comments about Paiste Alpha Complete Metal Cymbal Pack:

Firstly, I'd like to say GC hooked me up big time. The guy at the desk informed me I could save $100 if I ordered it online (that particular week) rather than have the item shipped to the store and pay for it then. Also it was on backorder and expected to be shipped 2-4 weeks later... I got it 3 days after I ordered them. Now onto the cymbals. I was blown away. These things are massive but they look AMAZING. Absolutely beautiful. The sound is stellar. They are definitely METAL cymbals though. A very dark and bold sound. The crashes have a very icy yet strong sound. Maybe too strong at some times. The ride is sick. That one word sums it up. Maybe the best looking and sounding ride I have ever seen/heard in my opinion. It has such a deep beautiful "ping" to it. And the bell is very strong. The hi-hats might be the weakest part of the set, but that's because I like mine to have higher pitched chick. These are thick heavy cymbals. The have a great strong sound though. They cut like glass through everything else. The splash is a good little extra. A good change of pace with the rest of the set. All of them have a very long decay (except the splash obviously). Great set and seem to be VERY durable. Not to mention NO ONE can miss that eye-catching brilliant finish.
