A short and full Chinese type sound for quick accents.

The Paiste Twenty China Cymbal delivers a characteristically trashy, bright, full, and explosive sound. Wide range, fairly complex mix. It has a somewhat soft feel, but with a quick and responsive attack. The cymbal's small size allows comfortable addition to existing setup and suits just about any style of music from percussive avant-garde to progressive rock.Introduction: 2007Background: Paiste's continuous search for new ways to create cymbal sounds from manually malleable metals has taken us back to the primal and archaic sound energy of traditional CuSn20 bronze. From such alloy the Twenty series is made of and combines the Turkish ancient knowledge with the Swiss precision and our time-honored methods. A symbiosis, a completely new blend of sound characterInnovation: To create cymbals of true and dignified quality for highest demands of professional drummers and percussionistsAlloy: CuSn20, also know as "Traditional Bronze"Quality: ProfessionalProduction: Manual craftsmanship exclusively. Hand alloying, hand hammering, hand lathing. Proprietary manufacturing methodsApplications: Medium soft to loud settings. Live and recording. Pop, Blues, Soul, Rock, Jazz, Big Band, R&B, Country, Acoustic Music, percussive settings, classical applications and Latin styles.Users: Professional drummers, recording artists, studio owners. Sound enthusiasts and collectors.Sound: Warm, broad, deep, sparkling, dark, oriental, trashy, bright and forceful. These china cymbals have a certain raw and untamed sort of a mystical force, yet with the harmony, balance and consistent quality that is a Paiste trademark for decades.

  • 12" Twenty Mini China

As reviewed by Anz Martin Lopez on 2/24/2010

(weight: 1 pound) This is a very fun cymbal. It produces a dry, dark, trashy, true china sound. But very low volume and feels stiff to the stick. i wish it sounded a bit louder but i am enjoying it quite a bit, as it accompanies my 18" 2002 china beautifully. And personally i don't like b20 and its my only b20 cymbal, and i think it sounds quieter in comparison to my other b8 cymbals. Overall a good effect cymbal but really lacks in the volume department.
