NEW REVIEW - GREAT KIT

I got this Orange shelled kit about a year ago, and is tremendous. My band tours the midwest alot, and the shells hold up to the constant pounding of everyday setup/teardown. I highly recommend this kit for anyone that wants great quality for a great price!

NEW REVIEW - This is awsome kit.

Pro's- this kit is soo big at first i didnt think i needed that much but for the price. It was a great deal. But you have such a selection for whatever a song would call for. I have A customs ziljian's on here and man it really sets it off. I go around and move my kit alot for gigs with different kinds of music for jazz and for rock/metal and this kit really sounds awsome with anything. Con's- The heads are okay for awhile but id put some evans G2 batters and evans G1 reso on the toms and put a Remo powerstroke batter on the bass and your set. Also the snare is okay. But id rather get a different one and put it on there. But all in all this is an awsome kit. I would definatly recommend it to anyone.

NEW REVIEW - Niice Kit!

I purchased this kit about a month ago and so far its pretty awesome...and like everyone else says..the stock remo heads do suck..after a while..depends on how you play i guess..they did sound good when i first got the kit..but they dont hold up as good...everybody seems to not like the snare..i do..all it needs is a new head and a little tuning! All in all, is a great kit!

NEW REVIEW - Really good kit

Im no professional (Im only 15) but this is an excellent quality kit, price and performance wise. The 2 only concerns are the heads (replace them as soon as you can seriously) and the snare. The snare that i had on my Rockwood starter kit sounded better than this. Other than that this set will not let you down!

Good for playing out and for beginners

I bought this kit a couple of days ago. I have played out with it-and miked-up it sounds really good. I did change the stock heads to clear evans EC2's on the toms. The snare is little suspect. I was able to get a decent tuning on the drum, but it does not project well enough for rock or any heavier styles. The hoops are a little suspect. I think I am going to try to change these to a semi-die cast. Overall the bearing edges make for good head seating it is possible to get a good sound from the toms and the bass. I do not know if this kit projects enough to go live wihout mics. I highly reccomend changing all of the batter heads. Pretty good bang for the buck.
