Awesome Snare
This is an amazing drum. I was not expecting this kind of tone from an acrylic. I am extremely pleased with this snare. I have been playing a Chad Smith Signature Pearl, and I saw this on sale at a local Guitar Center and I had to pick it up. Although the list price is a little high, I still would have paid it if it was not on sale. The sound is incredible, and the styling is fantastic. There's not much else to expect from a DW.

pdp acrylic snare
The Pacific 7x14 Acrylic snare is a great investment for those of you looking for LOUD! affordable, sexy. I mean come on acrylic green mud flap girls , black snare(Darn Sexy) Now to the nitty gritty, loud like brass but it has all the characteristics of wood. Deep full tone, from wet and snare ridden, to dry and biting with a sustained ring. very good construction, smooth throw off, tunes well(with a wide range of options)Only negative it takes awhile to get the sweet spot with different tunings and head/snare, and wire combos you will find one that suites your style of playing.
