Still my best, after 5 years and 4 different bands

By Dean

from NJ

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

Got this exact model in 2003. Since that time, I've played in Nu-Metal, Hardcore, and metal bands. I have 5 guitars, and this one has performed the best in every style of music I've chosen to play. This guitar has a deep low end sound. Perfect for down tuning and pulling double duty in the absence of a bassist. It holds a tune pretty well if you string it correctly. Reccommended for Nu-Metal especially.

AMAZING!

By Jake

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

I've had this guitar for over 3 years now and it has never let me down. I have it in platinum, which they apparently stopped making recently. This is your basic meat & potatoes guitar. No frills or strings attached. I can run it through any amp and still get amazing tone. My only complaint is the bridge pickup, which is a little weak for my taste. It gives sort of a muffled sound. I switched it out for a Gibson '57 and WOW!!! The neck has great playability, just keep it clean or the laquer will get sticky.

Best for the money!

By Glenn

from Cumming, GA.

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

This is a beautiful guitar. Love the honey colored natural mahogany and how it contrast's w/ the dark rosewood fretboard and the cream colored binding. Compared this guitar against Schecter and Ibanez and in my opinion, easily beats them in this price range for sound, quality, and versatility. You can get a wide range of sounds out of this guitar from blues to hard rock. The bridge pickup is a little weak/muddy for metal, but not too bad. I also like the 25' scale w/ 22 frets as I have large hands and there's plenty of room to move around. The neck feels nice and comfortable to me. The only negative is that my low E string buzzes a little with the action set where I like it, even w/ only a half step down tuning and I can't quite get the intonation just right do to the unadjustable fixed bridge, but this is very minor in the overall scheme of things and can be fixed w/ a TonePros adjustable fixed bridge. One day I'll move up to an American PRS, but for now, I'm completely satisfied. This is an excellent guitar for the money and I highly recommend it...

Great Guitar

By Mike

from colchester, ct

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

This guitar is a great price, first of all. Other similarly priced guitars are nowhere near the quality of this one. The neck is really comfortable, and the stock pick-ups are pretty good. I love the shape of the headstock. The paint is really nice, I have mine in platinum, which they stopped making. The gig bag is really nice, very well padded. Overall, great price for a great guitar, and it is a PRS, you canۡt go wrong!

Great guitar!

By Steve

from youngstown,ohio

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

I got my Tremonti se back in 2005, When I first opened the guitar out of the packaging I was very impressed with the craftsmanship for such a low priced guitar. The price has nothing to do with the quality...this guitar is mean!! It looks great and it plays great as well. I switched out the stock pickups with Mark Tremonti pickups and the guitar has more life than ever. I also replaced the bridge with a tone pros avt II. and threw in prs locking tuners and a graphite nut. also I changed the pickup rings to Creme and the toggle cap, to make it more like Tremonti's. The guitar is great, the body is a little thin, I wasn't used to that at first. but it still has full tone. If they added a little more wood to the body than I would be very satisfied. I run it through my Mesa Triple Rec, and pedal board. The guitar has great shred capabilities, and easy chording. I've written alot of music on it, the Tremonti SE has served me very well, durable and classy. I even got the guitar signed by Alter Bridge, which makes it that much more special. PRS = Great Guitars! good for any style.

Somewhere in between....

By Cojackpilot

from Spring Park, Minnesota

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

This is a very versatile guitar. I was aiming to buy an epiphone on a much higher price range. but this guitar exceeded my expectation. The stock pick ups are totally amazing, it provides a pure and well balanced tone from the lowest to the highest note. The custom stoptail was a brilliant idea. I didn't have to bother setting up the action and intonation. PRS took care of it so I can start rocking right out of the box. I love the black mirror-like finish and the les paul style controls. The D'Addario stock strings are excellent. This one's got a fast neck design, believe it or not. I can play some really speedy stuff better on this guitar than on my jackson DXMG Dinky. And you can't beat the price. I know some professionals would prefer the high priced version because they got the buck to spend. But to those who wants a great professional sounding guitar for less. This is the way to go.... MABUHAY KA PRS.....

Epic!!!!!!

By Andrew

from Kenosha, WI

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

I've had this guitar for about a year now, Black. My very first guitar and i couldn't dream of a better one. Even when my band didnt have a bassist, we could still practice simply because we had a PRS tremonti. Sound is a little muffled but that is because of the bass capabilities of the guitar. Again, one of the BEST guitars any band/musician/etc. could ask for.

PRS Tremonti SE: Really good!

By Jonathan

from clemson, sc

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

This is my second guitar and i've played alot of my friends, and I have to say that this one of my favorites. I love the thicker neck and its just an easy guitar to play. Great sound. Stays in tune fairly well, unless you do alot of bending, then it might slip out. Otherwise great guitar.

Best Sound For The Price

By frylock

from Paramus, NJ

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

This guitar sounds better with factory pickups than an old ibanez w/ floyd rose tremelo I had fitted with a gibson humbucker and two power lace sensors. Mahogany body and rosewoood frets, in addition to PRS craftsmanship, all contribute to this great sound. Had to adjust the neck after guitar was shipped to me. I'm thinking of eventually getting seymour duncans for this guitar but I'm going to enjoy it the way it is a little while longer.

Amazing!

By Zack

from Colorado Springs, CO

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

This is the first and only guitar that I have. I got it about a year ago for my birthday. I was psyched! I still and in love with it. I have played a few of my friends' guitars and I still like this the best. (Besides maybe my friend's SG) All the guitars that I have played (sides SG) have been about the same price too and I love it. It sounds way better and it will last me for a while. The only guitar I would get besides this is a Gibson Zakk Wylde custom bulls-eye LP. The fretboard makes it easy to solo for beginners or advanced players. Highly recommended for a first guitar!

Great Guitar

By ---

from Vancouver, BC

Comments about PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar:

This was my second guitar and it opened up a new category of genres for me to play. I started with a strat, so I couldn't get a solid hardcore/metal sound, and I turned to this guitar for just that purpose. Although the clean tones aren't as sweet as the Strat's or as melodic as a Les Paul's, this guitar can be used for ANY sort of hardcore or metal music out there. It (surprisingly) stays in tune perfectly even when I play in drop C or drop Bb, and it handles any sort of distortion beautifully. If this sounds like the type of music you're into, I would definitely recommend this guitar to you. Cheers
