Owing already a custom 22, I was skeptical about the advertised differences between this new model and the standard line of custom 22s. However, once I put my hands on it, I was amazed by the rich full vintage tone of this guitar has, not to mention the awesome look given by a combination of its special double sunburst stain color and its glossy but yet thin nitrocellulose finish. I have to say, a lot of enthusiasm has been created by PRS around its new 57/08 pickups and they deliver. Apparently, it is not just the wire they use, but the way the put them together since they sound very different from any other PRS pick up. All this, in combination with the now classic PRS wide thick neck, locking tuners and proprietary tremolo, make of this model the best guitar I have ever tried.
