Zach Myers, lead guitarist of the multi-platinum rock band Shinedown, picked up a PRS Custom 22 at the age of fifteen and announced his first SE signature model in 2010. As a guitarist who has rocked PRS on the stage and teched for several PRS bands, Myers has an intimate understanding of how a guitar should feel and what the build quality should be. After months of design and conversations with PRS' SE team, Zach and PRS are pleased to introduce an all-new SE Zach Myers for 2014.
The 2014 SE Zach Myers features a chambered mahogany body with maple cap, flame maple veneer and single f-hole that provides smooth mid-range tones with a natural, resonant internal reverb. The 22-fret 24.5" scale length wide fat neck boasts a satin finish that gives the guitar a very comfortable, woody, worn-in feel.
Additional appointments to the SE Zach Myers signature model include PRS adjustable stoptail bridge, vintage style tuners, and PRS SE 245 pickups paired with two volume and two tone controls and a 3-way toggle pickup switch.
Includes gig bag.

I was looking for a hollow/semi hollow electric and couldn't seem to find what I wanted. I played a number of different brands and price level guitars but nothing felt right. I finally played the PRS Zach Myers in the Alpharetta GC and was blown away. I was still in the "looking" mode so I didn't purchase that day. I finally ordered one and couldn't wait to get it. When it arrived it was nearly perfect to play right out of the box. The neck was set with abou a nickel's thickness at the 12th fret and the harmonics were dead on. The pickups are hot and have clear definition. Trim and finish were just what I expeced from a PRS. Playing this guitarist a dream. The neck felt wide at first but after a few days I harly notice the width any more. I just can't say enough good about this axe. At the price point it's just hard to beat I have a Gibson LP studio that was a bit more expensive and this guitar is clearly better. Played through both a tube and a solid state amp with flat settings on the amps, and 5's on all the volume and tone on the guitar will fully demonstrate the tone and clarity. You just can't go wrong. My only gripe is the gig bag. I hate a gig bag. The included bag is nice but IT'S NOT A CASE. Speaking of cases, you may want to wait until you have the guitar to select one. The neck joint and thickness of the body eliminates most LP cases. I ended up with Guardian CG-035-LP arch top tweed (very snug fit). In short, this guitar is worth every penny and then some. The GC store in Chattanoga, TN made ordering a dream. I would also advise the pro plan.
good for intermediate guitar players
