Overview

The SE Standard 24 is a fresh take on PRS' hallmark model: the Custom 24. Updated here with an all-mahogany body, the SE Standard 24 is a modern instrument with a powerful voice. This guitar features classic PRS appointments, including a 24-fret mahogany neck (set neck construction), rosewood fretboard with bird inlays, and a PRS-Designed tremolo.

The SE Standard 24 pairs the warm, round tone of an all-mahogany guitar with PRS-Designed HFS and Vintage Bass pickups, resulting in a guitar that handles well and sounds as good plugged straight into an amp as it does run through a pedal board. The SE Standard 24 is the perfect choice players who demand a rock-solid, reliable guitar.

Since 2001, the SE Series has been offering incredible quality and great tone at affordable prices. The introduction of the SE Standard models represents a significant extension of the SE Series into the <$500 price point. The goal of the SE Series has always been to provide a quality instrument to players of all levels one that would not fight the player, but encourage him or her to start and to keep playing. PRS is proud to extend this promise to an even more attainable price point with the SE Standard lineup.

      Fantastic Guitar Value

Comments about PRS SE Standard 24 Electric Guitar:

      FANTASTIC.
Issues (non- issues given extremely fair pricing):

Set-up of instrument quite a bit off (Many Indonesian guitars)
Pick-ups centered boldly in midrange, with bass clarity and treble "ring" sub-par.
This is non-the-less a fantastic guitar. Some may want their pickup response squarely in that range, the you have a set-up needing masterpiece.
General workmanship flawless as I seen it.

Comments about PRS SE Standard 24 Electric Guitar:

I went through many kinds of electric guitars.. squier, fender, gretsch, epiphone and china gibson... finally I arrived on PRS guitar section and I really love it... The guitar is not that heavy compared to other guitars such as les paul... pickups are nice, the feeling of grip is really nice. I was conflicting between epiphone semi-hollow body (es339 pro) and seraph.. but when I played this PRS guitar, I just put them down .. This guitar's sounds just beat them all.. when seraph was much more expensive. I can guarantee that people who buy this would not really regret. This guitar is worth like 1000 dollars.. do not be afraid to get it because of its low price. I use this guitar for church playing, and its great sustainability makes me more energetic while playing. Thank you.

*Hope my opinion somehow can boost your mind to pick this guitar.

        A "real" instrument

        By Ed

Comments about PRS SE Standard 24 Electric Guitar:

It turns out, qualities I liked about my other guitars over the years were present in the PRS 24. I put a warmoth vintage modern neck on my Tele. (feels a LOT like PRS's wide thin neck). My first was a Strat that played fine, but doesn't come close to the fit & finish, playability and design of the PRS. Don't get me wrong, the Strat was the bees knees when it first came out, but Paul's design is an improvement in every way. I also like the fact that it's not imitating another guitar. A PRS sounds like a PRS. Excellent choice to keep beginners from getting frustrated with their instrument. It also plays better than some $2000 guitars I've played. They're going to sell a LOT of these.
