I love this guitar! I am a huge Orianthi fan and this guitar did not let me down. If you do have fret buzzing there is a card in the case the guitar comes with that tells you what to do. This is my third good guitar and I can't put it down. One complaint: my guitar came with only black pickups but personally I like that better. You might want to check up on that if you really want the zebra pickups. Other than that, it is an amazing guitar used by one of the best guitarists out there. Definitely worth the money
Great player, Great action, Great all around! It's not top of the line PRS but plays like one.
Can't go wrong.
Off the map value!
Love this axe. It could use a locking tuners and a hard tail option. That said I've played complete sets (20 songs each) without loosing tune. My rhythm guitarist plays a Les Paul Standard and he has to tune every few songs. I think if I hooked up some grovers I might never have to tune once my strings are stretched.
Only complaints are lack of locking tuners (for a little more I would have bought one with grovers) and no hardtail option. The later was easy to remedy by locking down the trem.
I was amazed at how loose this guitar is. It is a 25 scale which usually means the strings are tighter. Not on this one, the strings are like butter. It took me a couple of weeks to adjust, I can bend a full four semitones with little effort. Crazy good action, my luthier did minimal adjustments to get it perfect.
The trem was a little lame so I coaxed the guys where I bought the axe to lock it down and add some springs before I left. I'm a little biased as I don't really like trems to begin with except for the occasional vibrato effect.
Once the strings are stretched this guitar keeps tune very well, played a whole gig with only minor tuning adjustments between sets. I would still like to see some grovers so I'm going to have my luthier stick some on at some point.
The pickups are very good but not top notch, but hey we're not talking about a high end guitar here. For what you pay this guitar is awesome.
Red sparkle paint job is striking. Bird inlays are unique and beautiful. The weight and balance of this instrument is excellent, easy to handle even after four hours of jumping around and gigging.
I tried out literally two dozen guitars around this price range and this one was by and far the best rig I put my hands on. I fell in love with the neck and playability instantly. Everyone who touches it things I have the strings tuned to D because they are so loose in standard tuning (no buzz and real buttery).
Love this guitar, I play professionally and this is a huge step up from any other axe I own. After playing dozens of axes this was by and far the best. I really suggest you find a shop and dink with one of these.
Tried it out at GC. Really impressed with ease of play, sound, and quality of fit and finish. Don't see any reason to get a more expensive PRS. Nuff Said.
This guitar, like everything else PRS makes, is top notch in every way. The build quality, materials, sound, and feel are about as good as it gets. The Korina wood and Ebony fingerboard are very nice touches. The pickups have a wonderful clean sound and a mean and nasty sound when you want to rock! The Korina body and maple top are a great combination that give this guitar a special sound and feel. Even though the PRS gig-bag is as good as it gets, a hardshell case would be nice. You can solve that problem with a Musician's Gear rectangular case. With this being Orianthi's first signature model it should hold it's value pretty well too. If you like thet way it looks, I say jump on it, because I know you'll love the way it sounds and plays!!!
Orianthi has got to be the the most dynamic female guitarist ever! With chops like Van Halen and Slash you can't go wrong!!! This is your chance to own her first signature guitar, and with the quality of a Paul Reed Smith at this price!! What are you waiting for!?!
i LOVE this guitar!! i would recommend this to my friends. 5 stars!!
