I got this guitar a few weeks ago, and simply can?t put it down! The pickups, PRS designed, are amazing! The tone is rich and full, yet defined, even with high gain settings. You can basically get everything you could possibly need, crystal-clear cleans, hot and defined lead tones... You name it; this guitar will deliver anything you want. The playability is great. The neck is fast and comfortable, the harmonic response is superb, and it sustains for quite a while. The bridge is fantastic, changing the strings is really easy and intonation is perfect. The nut helps to stay in tune. No matter how hard you hit the strings, it won?t get out of tune. Now, if you?re a metal player like myself, this guitar is perfect for fast riffing, soloing and palm muting. Aesthetically speaking, this guitar is beautiful. The craftsmanship is top notch on this particular instrument. There?s not much left to say but to encourage you to try out this guitar. It is a perfectly fine axe for a decent price.

I 've played this guitar and right out of the box noticed some problems. Gritty frets its very easy to slide the strings right off the fret board. They don't seem to handle the weather as well as the USA models do. For example the Mira 2 is a USA version of the PRS right at around a thousand dollars MSRP. It has a three position switch and the PU can be coil split. When I pick up the Mira which is one of my I broke a string stage guitars or my MIDI unit the quality and sound really jumps out at you. So much that if you just hook the Mira 2 up straight to the amp you get a great almost acoustic sound. It handles effects beautifully. you can adjust them in or our by adjusting the overall out put, one knob. the Tremonti SE was disappointing the plastic binding was a hm handed attempt at stopping the fingers from sliding off the board. The overall out put was not as hot as the Mira2. I guess I prefer the Mira for a little extra moneysounds like a guitar that performs holds up and sounds like a guitar that is worth more than its price tag The Tremonti SE sounds like a guitar that sounds like a guitar that is worth a little less than te price tag. All it caries is the PRS name not the workmanship in my opinion. About every third of fourth tour Ill take out the Mira2 while some other guitar is being fixed r Ill play it and remember how much I like it. Spend the extra $

Comments about PRS SE Mark Tremonti Electric Guitar:

In my opinion, PRS SE's are the best economy guitars that money can buy. They are put together well, good materials and workmanship. I bought my Tremonti used to save even more and I am almost completely satisfied. I wanted the Tremonti because of the 25" scale length. The shorter scale 245 SE just doesn't feel right to me. I love, love, love the balance and feel of the PRS single cut bodies and some day I will buy a Starla or one of the S2 single cut semi hollow guitars for sure. For my playing style...I consider the PRS the easiest guitar to play that I have ever picked up. It just feels so natural to me right off the rack. The 25" scale is perfect for me and achieves a great balance between the 24.5" and 25.5" standard scale length. I love the stop-tail bridge that PRS has designed and the large flat surface of the bridge allows for more subtle muting effects that you just can't get from any other bridge and I am always amazed at how well the fixed intonation is with these bridges. The pickups are another story. They are very limited, and I would suggest that they are good for Metal and not much else. Very limited tonally and sound thin and harsh and way to over-driven to me. If you set the volume at 7-8 you can get some tonal flexibility but not much. Above that it just "crunches" out and below that they become muddy. I am going to replace them with some Seymour Duncans that suit my playing better. All in all...a great guitar for the money. One more thing...I don't know who Tremonti is but I have heard of Creed and don't like them. I wish PRS offered this SE in a "no name" model with tonally better pups and a semi-hollow body. That would be way cool!!!

The best guitar Ive owned so far!

By Austin Strandell

from Wisconsin

Comments about PRS SE Mark Tremonti Electric Guitar:

I just purchased this guitar a few weeks ago and I must say that it is my favorite guitar out of all the different guitars Ive bought in the last 13 years of playing. Ive owned a Silverton, several ESP LTD's, a Dean, a Epiphone Explorer, a Schecter, a few Jackson's, and now a PRS Tremonti SE. Ive looked at a couple PRS SE guitars and even though they are made in Korea, they still look and feel like they are very high quality. Im very picky about my guitars as far as quality goes and the PRS SE guitars are up to my standards. I will be buying more PRS SE guitars in the future.

Here it is

By Keith Carreira

from Norfolk, VA

Comments about PRS SE Mark Tremonti Electric Guitar:

Are you looking for a great looking mid-priced guitar that plays and sounds as good as it looks? Here it is. Are you looking for a solid mahogany set-neck guitar that despite its light weight has unrivaled sustain? How about a contoured upper back that doesn't bruise your ribs when you play seated? How about standard appointments like a bound body, neck, and headstock, unique fretboard inlays, and chrome hardware? How about humbuckers with their own tone and volume controls that can handle anything from screaming metal to crunchy blues to sweet cleans and twang? Here it is. The fit and finish are top quality, the vintage cherry is stunning. This guitar is a joy to look at as well as to play. If you're looking for value, here it is.

Fantastic Guitar, It's an SE

By Garrett Thomas

from Rock Hill, SC

Comments about PRS SE Mark Tremonti Electric Guitar:

I love this guitar. I could end the review there, but I'll go on: I got the black finish and it's a beautiful guitar. It sounds amazing--in fact, it makes my little Fender practice amp sound amazing--and has great playability, even for a guitarist/singer as finnicky as I am. Love the stoptail bridge. As a warning, it IS an SE and has some quality issues, i.e. My strap buttons come a little loose, my tuners loosen every so often. These, however, are minor, easily corrected problems that make no change in my opinion that this guitar is fantastic. It can play any style of music, but it DOES have very hot pickups. On a multi-effects unit, it can be very hard to get a clean signal, but through an amp it sounds incredible. I'll stop blabbering now and say, I love this guitar.

Absolute Value

Comments about PRS SE Mark Tremonti Electric Guitar:

Put simply, I love this guitar. From the look, feel, and response to what you want to play - this guitar is an outstanding buy for this price. Eventually, I will be looking toward an "upscale" PRS, but for now - I am completely taken with this one.

Simply...Fantastic!!!

By Jay Ramsdell

from Syracuse, NY

Comments about PRS SE Mark Tremonti Electric Guitar:

Had a little over a year now...perfect. Amazing, I play it in standard D tuning and drop the top with regularity. So light, can play on stage all night long. Stock pickups, no problem, hot, but not too hot. Replaced the pickup rings with real "metal" ones \m/ >_< \m/...tastefully covered up the "Tremonti" with a nice white stripe through the headstock & underneath the truss rod cover...looks and plays like a $1500 guitar. I have a 2012 Gibson Clasic Custom and have a hard time being honest with myself about which one I'd rather play. Cons...Almost too light. & the one piece bridge/tailpiece does not alow for anything except height adjustment..not that the intonation is off, but if it was there is nothing you can do about it.

Unbelievable guitar for the price

By Kevin Barry

from Braintree, MA

Comments about PRS SE Mark Tremonti Electric Guitar:

I saw this guitar being pumped out in this months sales flyer. I already have a Korean made PRS SE 25th Anniversary Custom 24, that is a great guitar for the price. So I polished up my barley used Epiphone G-1275 and headed off to my new Guitar Center down the street. I did a trade and returned home with my New Tremonti SE. Man I can't believe how great sounding and feeling this guitar is. Another reviewer has said something to the effect "it plays itself" I'm like yeah right. You know he's not to far off, the thing plays beautifully, and feels just right, perfect shape, and neck, I feel like I'm playing noticeable faster. I don't know how PRS can pump these out for the price, the workmanship is tops and set up great right out of the box. I can't imagine what the PRS models feel and sound like that cost ten times as much ! Until I win the lottery I won't know, but this working man's model feels GREAT. Nice job PRS and Guitar Center for the Sale !

Not quite 5 stars, but close...

By George Baia

from Towson, MD

Comments about PRS SE Mark Tremonti Electric Guitar:

I purchased this guitar in black 4 months ago. First of all, it feels really good in my hands. The neck is a little wider and that really makes playing easier and more comfortable for me. I made a few modification including replacing the bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan JB (because I simply love them), but kept the neck pickup because I get a nice rich tone. Also adjusted/lowered the action and replaced strings with EBs. For the price, you cannot go wrong with this PRS guitar. Highly recommend it!
