I got this guitar a few weeks ago, and simply can?t put it down! The pickups, PRS designed, are amazing! The tone is rich and full, yet defined, even with high gain settings. You can basically get everything you could possibly need, crystal-clear cleans, hot and defined lead tones... You name it; this guitar will deliver anything you want. The playability is great. The neck is fast and comfortable, the harmonic response is superb, and it sustains for quite a while. The bridge is fantastic, changing the strings is really easy and intonation is perfect. The nut helps to stay in tune. No matter how hard you hit the strings, it won?t get out of tune. Now, if you?re a metal player like myself, this guitar is perfect for fast riffing, soloing and palm muting. Aesthetically speaking, this guitar is beautiful. The craftsmanship is top notch on this particular instrument. There?s not much left to say but to encourage you to try out this guitar. It is a perfectly fine axe for a decent price.

I 've played this guitar and right out of the box noticed some problems. Gritty frets its very easy to slide the strings right off the fret board. They don't seem to handle the weather as well as the USA models do. For example the Mira 2 is a USA version of the PRS right at around a thousand dollars MSRP. It has a three position switch and the PU can be coil split. When I pick up the Mira which is one of my I broke a string stage guitars or my MIDI unit the quality and sound really jumps out at you. So much that if you just hook the Mira 2 up straight to the amp you get a great almost acoustic sound. It handles effects beautifully. you can adjust them in or our by adjusting the overall out put, one knob. the Tremonti SE was disappointing the plastic binding was a hm handed attempt at stopping the fingers from sliding off the board. The overall out put was not as hot as the Mira2. I guess I prefer the Mira for a little extra moneysounds like a guitar that performs holds up and sounds like a guitar that is worth more than its price tag The Tremonti SE sounds like a guitar that sounds like a guitar that is worth a little less than te price tag. All it caries is the PRS name not the workmanship in my opinion. About every third of fourth tour Ill take out the Mira2 while some other guitar is being fixed r Ill play it and remember how much I like it. Spend the extra $

Great Guitar!

By coatesycobra

Comments about PRS SE Mark Tremonti Electric Guitar:

OK... if you look at most of the reviews for guitars on GC.com, everybody is giving everything 5 stars. Any given product can be the best to someone out there. That being said, I am reviewing this PRS SE Tremonti as a self-professed novice/intermediate level guitarist. I have a few years playing but never put the time into getting crazy good. But I know what sounds great, what feels great, what appears to be well built and what's fun to play. The SE Tremonti is all of those. I run this thing thru a 75 watt Line-6 and it is fantastic. Can't wait to hear it thru a tube amp (next purchase.) PRS quality control for their SE line is excellent (I have 2 other SE's.) The Tremonti came to me in dead-on in tune and the intonation was pretty much perfect. It's shiny, black, mean-looking and a great addition to your arsenal. The stock pups deliver thick sound. Fretboard is comfortable and fast, although this axe is not a shredder. The tuners, knobs and pick-up selector switch all feel like quality and well put together. I ordered last years model and got a newer one with the bird inlays because it was back-ordered. Bonus. For the price... it is the best thing out there. Forget your hit-or-miss quality mid-level Epiphone LP or Strat. Hit this Tremonti up for sure!

Read if your a skeptic or not sure!

By Juline Hobbs

Comments about PRS SE Mark Tremonti Electric Guitar:

Ok so first off i wanna say i LOVE prs! Over other guitar brands. They make the best quality affordable instruments imo! I've never had any problems with any of my se models and they've always been twice as good as other models that go for the same price. This guitar feels good, plays good, sounds good, and LOOKS good! This is probably one of the best, if not the best, of my guitars right now. I absolutely love it and PRS.

PRS Quality above all else.

By aaron Reyes

from Colorado Springs

Comments about PRS SE Mark Tremonti Electric Guitar:

If you are on the fence about what intermediate guitar to purchase, stop searching, because you've found it. PRS is not an instrument manufacturer, they breed miracles. Picking up this instrument for the first time will feel like you've dropped about a grand and a half into it instead of 540. Clean tones are clear and deep throughout, and even with stock pickups, can deliver relentless distortion effects. Without a shadow of a doubt after purchasing this guitar, you will be a PRS customer for life. I know i am.

Simply...Fantastic!!!

By Jay Ramsdell

from Syracuse, NY

Comments about PRS SE Mark Tremonti Electric Guitar:

Had a little over a year now...perfect. Amazing, I play it in standard D tuning and drop the top with regularity. So light, can play on stage all night long. Stock pickups, no problem, hot, but not too hot. Replaced the pickup rings with real "metal" ones \m/ >_< \m/...tastefully covered up the "Tremonti" with a nice white stripe through the headstock & underneath the truss rod cover...looks and plays like a $1500 guitar. I have a 2012 Gibson Clasic Custom and have a hard time being honest with myself about which one I'd rather play. Cons...Almost too light. & the one piece bridge/tailpiece does not alow for anything except height adjustment..not that the intonation is off, but if it was there is nothing you can do about it.

Great Guitar

By Jason

from Batesville, In

Comments about PRS SE Mark Tremonti Electric Guitar:

I purchased this guitar 5 or 6 years ago when it first came out and was pretty happy with the purchase. It still wasn't my "go to" guitar, but I was pleased. About a year or two later, I had to play it one night due to my ESP needing some TLC, and ever since it has been my favorite guitar for live and recording. I upgraded the stock PRS pickups (which actually sound pretty good already) to the Tremonti pickup set from PRS, which ran about $280 and then added locking tuners this past year for another $70 and I could not imagine letting go of the guitar. It has great tone and sustain, huge gain, and extremely low action. Overall, for this price, you cannot find a better guitar. It can be bright, warm, fat, whatever you want. It is made in Korea, but seems to be built well and I couldn't find any major flaws with the neck or finish. I "highly" recommend this guitar. I was actually here reading reviews on some Teles/Strats and came across this guitar, saw it only had 4 reviews, so I felt like i needed to add one to pump it up.

BUY THIS GUITAR

By Brett Cosby

from West Springfield, MA

Comments about PRS SE Mark Tremonti Electric Guitar:

i picked this instrument up about two months ago, the new version with the Bird inlay and the Scarlet Red color. I spent about 3 hours at Guitar Center trying to decide between this and the 245SE, needless to say this one won the battle hands down. the body is a little thinner the neck is faster the pickups are more responsive. i play through a Peavey ValveKing 2x12 and at any level on any style this guitar just sings, crystal clear cleans especially when using both pick ups for finger picking to screaming Zakk Wylde style harmonics to distorted leads that just sing... i do not plan on ever getting rid of this guitar, it is now my main instrument for live and studio work. it is just so comfortable to hold and play and it looks absolutely flawless under stage lights because you have to admit... looking good some nights is half the battle

Here it is

By Keith Carreira

from Norfolk, VA

Comments about PRS SE Mark Tremonti Electric Guitar:

Are you looking for a great looking mid-priced guitar that plays and sounds as good as it looks? Here it is. Are you looking for a solid mahogany set-neck guitar that despite its light weight has unrivaled sustain? How about a contoured upper back that doesn't bruise your ribs when you play seated? How about standard appointments like a bound body, neck, and headstock, unique fretboard inlays, and chrome hardware? How about humbuckers with their own tone and volume controls that can handle anything from screaming metal to crunchy blues to sweet cleans and twang? Here it is. The fit and finish are top quality, the vintage cherry is stunning. This guitar is a joy to look at as well as to play. If you're looking for value, here it is.
