Lots of guitar for the money

Comments about PRS SE Custom 24 Quilt Top Floyd Rose Bridge White Binding Electric Guitar:

What is there not to like about this guitar? It has everything! It plays like butter, has 24 frets, humbuckers, coil tap, Thin fast neck, and the best tremolo ever put on a guitar. I own a les Paul and a strat but I would rather use this any day. I have been wanting another high end guitar but money has been tight so I looked into some Korean, Mexican and Japanese made versions of pro guitars. After reading a lot if reviews I decided to try this. They did not have a floyd model in the showroom so I tried one of there custom 24 se off the wall. Seemed like everything I wanted and I made the decision right then and there to order this guitar. I was not disappointed at all. In fact this guitar exceeded my expectations in every way and with 18 mo zero percent financing it was a no brainier. My sales person Kelly was very knowledgable and helpful. I can't imagine the American version of this guitar being much better than the one I got. I still can't believe the value for the money. Maybe I got lucky with this one but once it's paid I'm going to buy another se to use for songs not in standard tuning. I can't put this thing down. If your looking to get a sweet guitar for less than $1000 you won't find a better guitar.

Comments about PRS SE Custom 24 Quilt Top Floyd Rose Bridge White Binding Electric Guitar:

Sweet guitar. On Veteran's Day, I went to Guitar Center and attempted to see if I (and my credit score) could afford a Paul Reed Smith. I couldn't. But I saw some PRS SEs on the wall along with a bunch of other guitars. I took down a couple of US-made Les Pauls and a couple of Korean-made PRS SEs. I couldn't believe the lack of attention-to-detail the Les Pauls had. At $3k, they were worse than a Mexican-made Strat. However, the quality control on the PRS SEs was superb. I actually left the store and had to go back in a few hours later to purchase this one...it was that awesome. Without regard to practice (which we could all use some more of), this thing plays like butter. Feels weird to say it, but this thing just plays "fast." First-time Floyd Rose buyers (like me), beware...getting your guitar in tune is a chore, compared to standard bridge guitars. I attempted a drop tuning and it was so crazy that I went back to standard. The "balance" definitely exists.

This guitar can play it all. Aggressive riffs and sweet melodies. It's the first time I've ever owned a guitar like this one. I fell in love with music again.

Comments about PRS SE Custom 24 Quilt Top Floyd Rose Bridge White Binding Electric Guitar:

I had an American-made custom 24 that I loved. I stupidly sold it a year ago, and have regretted it since. So I went looking for a new one, but decided to look at the SE line because I just wasn't willing to pay $3300 for a new CU24 (My other one was a bit more than half of that because it was a solid color and had a small ding it it). At GC, I saw two guitars that caught my eye. One was the S2 Standard 24, and the other was the SE Custom 24 Floyd in black/grey.

I couldn't decide...but because someone had scratched up the back of the S2 pretty badly, I got them to discount it a LOT...so I came home both. I've been playing them both for almost a week now, and here's what I've found; the S2 Standard is a nice guitar...I like it a lot, and I like the sound it gives from the all-Mahogony body. I'm glad I bought it! But the one I keep picking up is the SE CU24 Floyd! I can't say enough about this guitar. Its finish is perfect. Even though the flame on the top is just a veneer (instead of the actual flamed maple on the core PRS line), it looks stunning! The neck is perfect, as I prefer the pattern thin profile anyway, and the frets are (like with all PRS guitars I've ever played) perfect as well!

I know the pickups (and the rest of the hardware) are imported, and I don't care. My Core CU24 had the square pickup bobbins and the 5-way blade switch, and I'd be hard pressed to be able to tell a difference between the sound. My new SE plays better than my core CU24. It's hard to admit that, but it's true...and it's not a knock on the core guitar...this one is that good! I'm familiar with Floyd trems from way back, so that's like home to me. This one was set up just right. Intonation and string height was exactly where they should be.
