Exactly What I expected

By Sean

from Georgia

Comments about PRS SE Custom 22 Electric Guitar:

I just received this guitar last night as an early Christmas gift and I simply cannot stop playing it. It is very easy to play and an enormous step up from my former guitar which was a ragged Squire Strat. I am playing it throgh my Marshall half stack and it sounds wonderful. The pick up selector offers various different tones though I haven't much played with it and the knobs yet. Very good guitar, I suggest it to anyone who is looking to buy in this price range.

IN LOVE with this guitar

By Drake

from GA

Comments about PRS SE Custom 22 Electric Guitar:

...in a non wierd way. The PRS SE Custom is absolutly amazing. I've had it for about 3 months now and love to play it whenever I can. For the longest time, I was debating getting the 22, or 24, but the both sound amazing. I chose the 22, 1-for the Cherry Sunburst, and 2-it seemed to have a little better tone. One thing that inparticular that is awesome with this guitar is that although it only has one tone knob, you can drastically change the tone by moving it just a little. It is awesome. I recommend buying the 22 with a tremolo bridge, but if you prefer the stop tail, i'm sure it would sound great with that too. Though I have NOT played it with a whammy bar, I imagine one small problem would be it coming out of tune a bit,as mine sometimes does just with a few whole step bends. I plan to get locking tuners though pretty soon so it will help with that problem tremendously. Overall, this guitar makes me happy. I play it with a Boss ME-50 pedal and a small, but decent sounding Marshall MG 15 watt amp. This guitar sounds good with clean sounds, heavy sounds, bluesy sounds, WHATEVER sound you are looking for.

BUY THIS GUITAR

By gabrielflo

Comments about PRS SE Custom 22 Electric Guitar:

I was shopping for my first electric guitar and really thought I was going to end up buying a Epiphone Les Paul Standerd or Custom because I had heard so much about the legendary les pauls and how great they were plus alot of them were on sale and were a reasonable price. That is until I ran into this PRS. I origanally was was going to buy the prs se single cut with a trem for about 665 and it was the same price as this guitar which I got without the trem. The prs se looked and sounded great as well as the epi les pauls I compared them to but nothing sounded as smooth and as clean and felt as perfect and comfortable to play as this guitar. Way lighter than the epi les pauls and had was more sound and sustain than the prs se singlecut. This is an amazing guitar it looks beautiful plays anything you want it to from clean acoustic sounds to hardcore heavy metal. This guitar blew all others in and above its price range outta the water, big thanks to the guitar center in ft.worth they gave me a great deal and ended up saving 120 dollars off the advertised price in store and with that extra 120 I bought a sprider line 6 amp new cables and a road runner guitar case. THANKS PRS FOR MAKING AN AWESOME GUITAR AND THANKS GUITAR CENTER FOR SAVING ME A BUNDLE

Simply Amazing, Worth Every Penny

By galacongamr

Comments about PRS SE Custom 22 Electric Guitar:

I don't know a whole lot about technical specs, but I have been playing on and off for about a year since I got this guitar. Incredible. This guitar is an intermediate player's dream because it provides that key halfway point between the twangy-rock sound of a Fender and a hard rock/ metal Gibson. Worried about tremolo? They've got a model for that, a little more expensive though. If you're looking for delicious tone, lasting sustain, and an all-out cool and versatile guitar, go SE Custom. With full overdrive and a few adjustments on the amp, I can get a velvety blues/rock sound very near Santana's without pedals. Plus it's amazingly comfortable to hold. Simply beautiful. I wish I could by the 24's but they are way too expensive.

One of a kind

By Jesse

from Denton, Tx

Comments about PRS SE Custom 22 Electric Guitar:

I just got this guitar a week ago and cannot put it down. Its honestly one of the best guitars I've played, and I'm picky with guitars. What I like about this guitar is that it doesn't sound like 20 guitars in one like the higher end PRS guitars, which I am not too pleased by. I'd rather have 20 guitars than just one that can do everything LOL. This guitar is so smooth and the sustain is incredible. So easy to play. It crunches when it needs to but also gets super clean. All my effects sound good with it. The tremolo is so handy. I love this guitar. Would recomend this guitar to anyone looking for a nice solid guitar to ADD to their arsenal, but if you expect this guitar to sound like a strat and then like a heavy metal ibanez or something, it won't. This baby has a personality all of its own. Did I mention she's so beautiful in the cherry burst color.

Comments about PRS SE Custom 22 Electric Guitar:

Out of the box it was almost still in tune and this is simply the sweetest guitar I have played. Very fast action and easy to play. My wife even commented, "That really sounds good". Somewhere in there is a compliment.

this guitar does it all

By me

from boston mass

Comments about PRS SE Custom 22 Electric Guitar:

ive had this guitar a few months now and every time i play it im still impressed how great this guitar sounds. after i performed my own setup this guitar just shreds and screams with its high output bridge pickup and mellows right out when switched over to the neck, ive played metal and rock easily with this and it does classic 60's and 70's rock music without a glitch. i cant go on about the sound enough with this guitar, when up on the higher fret this guitar has sent shivers through my body with its crystal clear notes. the fret board is easily played without any effort to make the notes ring loud and clear with no muddiness at all, the tuning pegs and tremolo keep in perfect tune after hours of playing. a great guitar at a reasonable price

Amazing PRS For the Price

By Kelsey

from Castle Rock, Colorado

Comments about PRS SE Custom 22 Electric Guitar:

I played this guitar in the store and I was amazed at the quality of this guitar. The paint job is beautiful and it plays as smooth as butter. I put this guitar to the test by tuning it down to Chevelle's tunings and it sounds like it should. The tuning pegs and brigde keep the strings from sounding horrible when tuning it into lower tunings. All around great guitar and I want this for my birthday!

Amazing for all styles

By Versatile Player

from Chaska, Minnesota

Comments about PRS SE Custom 22 Electric Guitar:

I am somewhat of a novice, having only played for about a year and a half, but i just couldn't stick with my junky little Squire Strat, so I decided to upgrade. Let me just say, so far as shape, tone, appearance and overall appeal, Paul Reed Smith is unrivaled, even by Gibson. Some of my favorite features are the polished neck, the double humbuckers, and the body shape (much easier to hold than a Les Paul). Of course, this is only a SE or "Student Edition" guitar, but it is powerful enough to make you never want to pick up another guitar again.
