Overview

The PRS SE Clint Lowery Electric Guitar is the result of a long collaboration between the artist and the folks at PRS and is designed to facilitate low tunings. It has a 25.5" scale length and comes set up with Clint's prefered string guage for low tunings (11-54), a perfect balance between low note resonance and higher solo performance. HFS and Vintage bass pickups provide plenty of power and variety via a 3-way switch, master volume and push/pull tone control. Comes with gig bag.

"Since Sevendust started we tried to approach heavy music in a different way. When I first joined the band we began trying drop C-sharp tuning and thought of that as a ˜low' tuning. Out of curiosity we decided to drop it to a drop B and alter the standard configuration altogether. The thinking was to basically force ourselves to write different. The sound of the drop B immediately gave a menacing sound to riff.

The thing I love about PRS Guitars is that, because of the quality, they automatically hold the tunings better than a lesser brand. For someone looking for an instrument that can sustain lower tunings - this is the one for you" -Clint Lowery

Comments about PRS SE Clint Lowery Electric Guitar:

This is a very crisp sounding guitar. It has clear highs without giving up anything on the heavy end(no muddy sound). The pickups are decent and I haven't felt the need to change them. This guitar does a good job handling the drop tunings as well. The grooves on the nut didn't need to be widened to take a heavier string (I have 12,60's on it right now). This is a fairly light weight guitar, but it doesn't feel cheap. It's comfortable to play for long stretches. The all black finish with the strip around the body makes it unique for a PRS, which is cool too.
