Absolutely amazing guitar. Pickups are very clear but have no problem giving deep sounds for heavy distortion and lower tunings. The neck is very fast, almost as fast as a Gibson SG, with great access to the higher frets, even for players with smaller hands. The tremolo won't throw the guitar out of tune. My only 2 complaints about the guitar is that it had fret buzz when I first got it, but after switching out the 9 gauge strings for 10 gauge, it went away. If you prefer 9 gauge, a slight truss rod adjustment will fix it. The second complaint is that on some of the machine heads, it's difficult to use a string winder because of the shape of the headstock, not that big of a deal though. This guitar equals if not surpasses Gibsons that are twice the price or more, great bang for your buck. Highly recommended.

Comments about PRS SE 30th Anniversary Custom 24 Electric Guitar:

I did a lot of research before buying this instrument. I have 6 other guitars, but i wanted to give the PRS SE Custom 24 a try based on the favorable reviews. The finish was flawless (amethyst, quilted maple top) and it has a very wide range of great tones. My only reservation is that it has a hard time staying in tune, even though I don't use the tremolo. Also, the tone control doesn't have as firm a feel as the volume control (i.e., very loose) and the tone control knob appears to not be in alignment with the body of the instrument.

Comments about PRS SE 30th Anniversary Custom 24 Electric Guitar:

Did a lot of research, these PRS SE 24 30th Anniversary models are highly rated. Was looking for something to compliment my single coils on stage. This guitar plays and looks fantastic! Set it up with 10's but it played great right out of the box. My luthier was also pretty impressed by playability of the guitar as well. At this price point this guitar cannot be beat!

Comments about PRS SE 30th Anniversary Custom 24 Electric Guitar:

I had a recent attack of G.A.S. was looking for a guitar that I could play live that looked and played great - with both humbucker & single coil sounds. What an incredible find - what an amazing value. Right out of the box this guitar played flawlessly. And the guitar looks like "artwork". PRS quality control is impressive, even for their out of states manufacturing. I have expensive American made guitars that don't play or sound this good. Get one of these - you will not be disappointed.

Comments about PRS SE 30th Anniversary Custom 24 Electric Guitar:

Bought this just to have something different than what I had been playing ('76 Gibson 335 and Fender Tele Deluxe 72 reissue). Was drawn to this guitar after playing one at a local shop, and really enjoyed the neck profile. The finish is impressive for the price point, and the action when set up to PRS spec is about impossible to beat. I swapped out the 9s for 10s and went through setting it all up again to what the PRS site specs said. It is very important to get the relief close to the .010 inch mark before setting your string height to avoid fret buzz. My only negatives are that mine arrived with a slight defect in the binding from the factory (very minor), and I wish the pickups had a little more life to them. But all in all, for the price range it is an impressive instrument.

I've own this guitar for about a week now and I must say, this is a solid work-horse guitar, even though is a "low-end guitar" because is an "SE" but don't let that fool you at all. I'm really happy and satisfied with this guitar. I must say PRS are well above other guitar companies about their instruments on how they feel and play, even without plugging my guitar I strum it and it resonates alot.Very happy with my purchase. I would recommend this guitar to anyone who is ready to upgrade their gear. I can write more about it but I think I made my point.

Purchased this PRS from Musiciansfriend about 2 months ago. It was delivered without damage and setup perfectly. Love the wide thin neck profile (plays like "buttaer") and the pickups sound great, too. The coil taps are a nice feature and give the guitar a wide variety of tonal possibilities. I use this primarily for practicing in my home studio and when playing with our worship team at church. Have had great comments about how good it sounds. I've own a number of high-end PRS guitars in the past but this guitar holds it's own against them - a third of the price! I highly recommend this guitar!
