Comments about PRS S2 Singlecut Electric Guitar:
I believe this to be the PRS version of the Gibson Les Paul studio. This is my 4th PRS guitar and this one plays every bit as well as my custom 10 top. That being said, the electronics are Korean and probably not the best choice for a USA made PRS, but corners had to be cut somewhere to make the price reachable for the common man. Open up the back and all the pots clearly say "made in Korea". The pups are the PRS #7, also a work from Korea, as are the tuning pegs. I will be changing out for Seymour Duncan "black winter" pups and swapping out all the Korean hardware and pots for quality USA made parts. This guitar plays like a dream after a little tweaking and set up!! I also flipped the truss rod cover over so it is all black...don't know why they chose to write SC250 on it. All and all, good for the price but you may want to consider the Gibson Les Paul studio if you don't want to start changing stuff out. IMO Gibson offers a little more at this price point, and you would get a case, not a gig bag. But if you want a PRS with birds on the fingerboard and hand painted serial numbers on the back of the headstock...the SC250 gets the job done!!
