Our buyers”experienced players themselves”went to Paul's Maryland shop where they handpicked a group of knockout guitars with the most stunning tops, unusual appointments, and the lightest bodies.
This exquisite Paul Reed Smith hand-picked KQ Custom 24 Electric Guitar has a fabulous carved "Killer" quilted maple 10 top in a luscious burnt almond finish on a rare korina body. The PRS Custom 24 has a special 25" scale length. The guitar's comfortable shape gives it exceptional playability. Abalone bird inlays adorn the 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. Maple body binding highlights the classic PRS double cutaway guitar body. All hardware is nickel, including a PRS tremolo bridge and Phase II locking mini tuners.
The PRS 57/08 pickups deliver both vintage and modern sounds. In 2008 PRS obtained exclusive rights to the original pickup wire used in the most revered pickups of the '50s. 1957 was the year the humbucker pickup was first commercially available, hence the 1957/2008 name. A push/pull tone pot adds to the versatility of this PRS guitar by switching from bell-like single-coil to rich humbucking pickup tones. All hardware on this beauty is Paul Reed Smith's hybrid nickel/gold including a PRS tremolo bridge, and Phase II locking mini tuners. PRS includes a hardshell case with the KQ Custom 24 Electric Guitar.
