The PRS Hollowbody Spruce Electric Guitar is carved inside and out with only a small block under the bridge connecting the back and top. The Hollowbody is PRS's most popular semi-hollow guitar. PRS crafts the Hollowbody Spruce with solid mahogany rims and a solid, deeply carved figured maple top and back to produce brilliant acoustic qualities for a thinline hollow electric guitar. The comfortable wide fat mahogany neck has a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard adorned with moon dot inlays.
With the patented PRS/L.R. Baggs Piezo System, you can plug the Hollowbody Spruce guitar into your PA or recording console and your amp at the same time. The Hollowbody Spruce also features PRS Archtop Treble and Bass pickups, specifically designed to work with the PRS Piezo system. The Archtop Treble and Bass humbuckers are clearer, less powerful versions of the PRS McCarty pickups, and are good for many styles of music including jazz and rhythm guitar.

I've played almost every guitar in the Nashua, NH guitar center most of those being American made Fenders, PRS', and Gibsons into Fender amps. I decided to sneak behind the counter and pick up this guitar. First thing, this guitar is disturbingly lightweight and I personally love that aspect of the guitar. I played this guitar through a Fender super champ and it sounded AMAZING. I was blown away from the versatility and lack of any feedback whatsoever. Went from jazz (Joe Pass, Barney Kessel) to rock (Led Zep and Hendrix) then to back to Jazz all with a few movements of the onboard controls. I didnt test the piezo cause i was in a rush. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the fact that I perfer fat necks, since I have the hands of giants, and this guitar has a slim small neck (like slightly bigger than a regular V neck strat neck) and the sound was a wee bit bright
