The DGT electric guitar is the result of more than 20 years of collaboration between Paul Reed Smith and David Grissom. The DGT is based on the McCarty Trem with special pickups, special wiring, a neck smaller than PRS' wide-fat neck, bigger frets, and heavy gauge strings that permit beautiful rhythm and solo tone. This PRS guitar is also graced with the PRS hallmark carved maple10 top and abalone bird fingerboard inlays.
Devoted to PRS guitars, David Grissom has recorded and toured with Joe Ely, John Mellencamp, the Allman Brothers, The Dixie Chicks, and Buddy Guy, as well as with Storyville.

I have owned Strat's, Gibson's, and now PRS, and without a doubt the DGT is the best guitar I've played. The neck is a great size, the pick ups are a little bright, but the responsive tone pot rolls off any unwanted spank. I also love that there are volume controls for both neck and bridge pick ups, you can blend till your hearts content. When you coil tap the guitar comes of sounding like a great P-90, more than a single coil. In my opinion it's the most usable coil tap on the market. The looks are unmatched the 10 top covered in the nitro finish looks awesome, also the brushed nickel humbucker covers are a great touch. Finally, the tone of the David Grissom Humbuckers truly sound like PAF's, my favorite part of the guitar by far. Drop the coin you won't be disappointed. Oh yeah, and the trem is the nicest I've played in years.
