The PRS SE Singlecut Korina electric guitar features a gorgeous korina body and set korina neck. Korina, also known as limba, is an African wood known for its treasured tonal qualities that add mids to the usually more mellow mahogany sound. The result is a very lightweight guitar that is rich in tone. A 22-fret, wide-fat mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard adds to the rich tones of this PRS guitar. The treble and bass humbuckers were designed at Paul Reed Smith to give you a variety of great sounds for whatever style of music you play. The PRS SE Singlecut guitar is enhanced by a wraparound stop tailpiece/bridge for direct transfer of string vibration. Moon fretboard inlays and natural maple top binding add a little Paul Reed Smith flair to the SE Singlecut.

  • .. The best playing and sounding guitar in the store!

    5 STARS.. .. .For nearly 3 decades, I've been playing a Strat, and love the fat tone and versatility it renders, but I also appreciate the edgy sound of double/dual humbuckers (Gibsons etc.). So, I decided that Paul Reed Smith had offerings which most delighted my eyes, ears and playing style (and budget). The Korina SE Singlecut is one of the finest guitars I've ever played. At first, I really was set on a PRS semi-hollow SE (which is also teriffic), but the color offerings weren't really for me. So, after playing nearly 10 guitars (all brands, styles). I picked this up at my local Guitar Center and it took just a few scales to sell me.. The neck-action is fast and comfortable; easy bends are terrific and easy on the fingers. This guitar is light and would be great for long shows, and the Korina wood is buttery sounding and looking (white mohogany with Amber stain); Korina wood offers terrific sustain which render a screaming overdrive sound for soloing - love this. The fuzz and tone that this thing creates for chords and rythym is as good or better than any Gibson, I've heard and laid my mits on. I would not part with this guitar after just a few days of owership.. PRS did this right, even if it's made in Korea, those old stigma's are a thing of the past.. Asian folks no longer make inferior items people - they are rising to the top of the market food-chain now. The quality and finish is top-shelf! This is a player's guitar and is simply beautiful too; no pretentious add-ons, just a superbly crafted instrument which would satisfy nearly any musical taste. If you play a lot of crunch, or metal it will sound really great, but unless you solo a lot you may not appreicate how playable this guitar is. Needless to say, this guitar will crunch too! I've also been able to demonstrate lots of nice tones with the pick up variations and knobs. Whether this is your first guitar or one of many, you absolutely will love this thing.. Exceptional.. If you prefer a case, it will cost you extra.. $600 and you got one of the nicer instruments around (I'd pay a few thousand for this after playing it). I suggest you play several instruments prior to this one, then try it at last.. The only thing I played which was close was another PRS semi-hollow SE.

  • A real working man's Axe

    I've owned this guitar for about six months now and I just plain love it! It is very understated and simple in appearance but more than makes up for that in tone and playability. Right out of the box, with nothing more than a slight neck adjustment, the guitar has played great from day one. Perfect intonation, low action, and wonderful mid-range sustain. The korina is beautiful to look at and is very light weight. You could easily spend a thousand more dollars and not get a guitar to match the quality and playability of this one. I highly recommend it!
