NEW REVIEW - Best For The Money!
The PRS SE is a solid instrument. There is no other guitar in the price range that compares. A great clean tone and nice wide neck for kick-ass playability. I went to G.C. and pick 4 guitars(including the SE)in the price range, the SE blew everything else out of the water. The stop tailpiece gives a better sound than the tremolo but to each their own!

PRS SE Custom
Wow! Absolutely incredible guitar. This guitar produces full tones without losing out on attack and sustain. I prefer running it through my assorted Boss pedals and into my Marshall MG100HDFX/MG412. I highly recomend this guitar to any intermediate to very experienced player. I put down my Gibson Les Paul when I bought this guitar and haven't picked it up since. This is a must have for anyone who plays guitar.

Awesome for the $$$
I've always been a Start guy but I've wanted a PRS from the first time I laid eyes on one in the early 1990's but could never justify the cost. I'm getting back into guitar after about a 10-year hiatus and wanted a new guitar. I still can't justify $2500 for a Custom 24 (I'm not a working musician) but can easily justify $500 so I picked up the SE Custom. I love this guitar. It plays smoothly after a few adjustments, sounds great (even through my little hybrid amp), and has a beautfiful finish. Before buying this I played several guitars in this price range (Fender MIM Strat's and Epiphone Les Paul's) and for the money, I don't think you buy a better guitar than the PRS Se Custom.

Tonal Odyssey
There is finally an affordable guitar for all those sensitive-eared, tonal freaks out there?.. The PRS SE Custom is just that Guitar! I actually purchased mine (the grayish black model with tremolo system) from Guitar Center, being that I could actually place my grubby little paws on the instrument and feel as well as hear the tonal resonance. I closely compared the PRS with an Epiphone Les Paul Standard?. Though the Epiphone Les Paul was a great guitar, pleasing to the eye and ear, it just didn?t have the smooth, mellow, rich, creamy, tonal taste of the PRS. I highly recommend the PRS SE Custom to a moderate level or even professional level guitarist. You will not be disappointed my good friends! (By the way, I would also recommend using a Monster instrument cable. They really bring out the sonic capabilities of the guitar?)
Keep jammin?

Great Guitar
I own an american made strat that I have customized as well as a fender tele. I wanted a guitar with 2 humbuckers and was interested in the prs. This guitar is amazing. the action is better than my fenders, it sounds great and looks great. It is light weight so playing gigs and rehearsals wont leave you with a sore back. The price can't be beat. I was looking in this price range because I wanted a backup guitar to my strat but I find myself playing this guitar more and more. Great buy you won't be dissapointed.

PRS
I bought this guitar after looking at many others, mainly the Fender Showmaster and the Epiphone Les Paul Custom. This guitar is, without a doubt, one of the best guitars for the money. I was initially attracted to the finish - a beautiful sunburst on flame maple. The matching headstock is a nice touch. Zebra pickups look cool too. I was suprised by the weight - not as heavy as I thought it would be - for a mahogany body. The tone is PRS all the way - nice definition with good gain. But, I spent a little extra and bought some PRS Dragon II pickups...WELL worth it. More sustain and low end punch, along with a lot more gain. The only thing I would like to have is 2 volume and 2 tone pots like the PRS Tremonti SE. However, I have been able to dial in any sound I've wanted so far. Truly a great guitar!!

Great Guitar
I always wanted to try a PRS because they were supposed to be in middle of LP and Strats and this guitar has full filled my expectations and then some. If you like Gibson and wanted to go Fender or vice versa this guitar has half the price of them and backs it up with great craftsmenship and well built soild tone

IN LOVE with this guitar
...in a non wierd way. The PRS SE Custom is absolutly amazing. I've had it for about 3 months now and love to play it whenever I can. For the longest time, I was debating getting the 22, or 24, but the both sound amazing. I chose the 22, 1-for the Cherry Sunburst, and 2-it seemed to have a little better tone. One thing that inparticular that is awesome with this guitar is that although it only has one tone knob, you can drastically change the tone by moving it just a little. It is awesome. I recommend buying the 22 with a tremolo bridge, but if you prefer the stop tail, i'm sure it would sound great with that too. Though I have NOT played it with a whammy bar, I imagine one small problem would be it coming out of tune a bit,as mine sometimes does just with a few whole step bends. I plan to get locking tuners though pretty soon so it will help with that problem tremendously. Overall, this guitar makes me happy. I play it with a Boss ME-50 pedal and a small, but decent sounding Marshall MG 15 watt amp. This guitar sounds good with clean sounds, heavy sounds, bluesy sounds, WHATEVER sound you are looking for.

BUY THIS GUITAR
I was shopping for my first electric guitar and really thought I was going to end up buying a Epiphone Les Paul Standerd or Custom because I had heard so much about the legendary les pauls and how great they were plus alot of them were on sale and were a reasonable price. That is until I ran into this PRS. I origanally was was going to buy the prs se single cut with a trem for about 665 and it was the same price as this guitar which I got without the trem. The prs se looked and sounded great as well as the epi les pauls I compared them to but nothing sounded as smooth and as clean and felt as perfect and comfortable to play as this guitar. Way lighter than the epi les pauls and had was more sound and sustain than the prs se singlecut. This is an amazing guitar it looks beautiful plays anything you want it to from clean acoustic sounds to hardcore heavy metal. This guitar blew all others in and above its price range outta the water, big thanks to the guitar center in ft.worth they gave me a great deal and ended up saving 120 dollars off the advertised price in store and with that extra 120 I bought a sprider line 6 amp new cables and a road runner guitar case. THANKS PRS FOR MAKING AN AWESOME GUITAR AND THANKS GUITAR CENTER FOR SAVING ME A BUNDLE

WOW !!
I just purchased one from Guitar Center today and all I can say is WOW! This is the best feeling, sounding and playing guitar I have ever owned. I was surprised by the quality of the electronics, pots and tuners as well as the bridge. Volume knob has a nice smooth even taper and the tone knob has a great variation. If you can't afford a top model PRS this is so close you won't beleive it. If you are looking to spend $500 dollars on a guitar don't look at anything else. I have owned them all and hands down this is the best !
