NEW REVIEW - I'm no longer addicted to Stratocasters!
All I can say is WOW!!! Every electric guitar I have ever owned was a Stratocaster. I love Fender Stratocasters and will play them forever. I never thought I would ever purchase another style of electric guitar UNTIL today. I went to my local Guitar Center today and bought the Red Custom PRS 24. The sound from the humbuckers is amazing. The tremolo is very good for divebombs and the 24 frets make the guitar perfect for those high pitch note bends. The action on the frets is very comfortable so my transition from my usual stratocaster playing was not that big of a jump. If you don't purchase this guitar.. at least play it. You will be suprized

NEW REVIEW - Great Guitar
I got this guitar (new) nearly a year ago... I love it even more than I did then! Its a great guitar for any level of musical ability. It has a fairly slim neck, which enables me to play riffs on high fretts. Pretty good tone, great playability. I'd recommend it as an upgrade of a lower end guitar... or it would be a great backup guitar. Great value for the money you pay for it. I would recommend it to anyone... love it!

NEW REVIEW - Awesome Guitar!
The PRS SE Custom 24 is an awesome guitar. I always wanted a PRS but never thought I could afford one but at this price I could not pass it up. Don't let the price fool you, this is one of the most incredible deals of the century.
The moment I put the guitar in my hands I could tell this was one professional guitar. The action is set perfectly right out of the box. The fretboard is actually so shiny you can see reflections off of it. The frets are nicely sized and the polish on them was nothing short of perfect.
The wide-thin neck is perfect for my wide-fat fingers. I have two Strats which have the wide fretboard but are deeper neck. Having the thin neck helps immensely with not only chord progression but plays extremely fast for leads.
My SE Custom 24 is the Black Cherry model. The finish on the body, neck and headstock are perfect, once again showing the PRS quality.
Get one of these and you won't be sorry. I have the vibrato version and here is something you wont find on any other brand, you can dive the strings all the way down and back--- guess what, your still in tune!!
The tone is unlike any guitar you have ever played. You can go from mild to wild with just the turn of the volume knob. At present I have not found a tone that matches that of a Strat in single coil position but hey, that's what Strats excel at. Perhaps I will mod the guitar with PRS parts to make it have single coil sound.
You can't go wrong. Get one of these and you won't be sorry. It's everything and more at such an incredible price.

Great Guitar !!!
Now, this is a wonderful instrument!!. I got mine las week (BD present to myself). I originally wanted the natural semi-acoustic one, but researching the PRS site I came across this one, that did it. It looks beautiful (black cherry), but also it has a tremolo, 24 frets and the THIN neck (not available on the 22 fret, remember this when shopping). I have small hands, short fingers and prefer this type neck and while I do not play all the way to the 24th fret, the easy access it allows is great.
So how does it sound?? Amazing.
Even before I got it, I was thinking to alter it several ways: flatten the tremolo, I don't use it, install coil split toggles or pull out knobs, and of course thought that it would not sound like the expensive ones. Boy was I wrong !! I'm not changing a single thing on it, none. The tremolo stays, no splitting, nothing!.
I can't put it down and it's staying AS IS. Amazing sound. I'm still finding new tones with any minor adjustment of volume or tone knob and pick up cjoice. That's not all. The PRS gig bag that comes with it is by far the best gig bag I have ever seen! They thought of everything, just look at the bag and you'll buy the guitar!! ha ha, no, the guitar is good also. I'm glad I got it after so many years of indecision, mostly the scale, but this guitar rocks, right out of the (great) bag, go get it now.
