Our buyers—experienced players themselves—went to Paul's Maryland shop where they handpicked a group of knockout guitars with the most stunning tops, unusual appointments, and the lightest bodies. The unique handpicked Paul Reed Smith Custom 22 Electric Guitar has a gorgeous carved flame maple 10-top custom finished in McCarty sunburst. The Custom 22 has a special 25" scale length coupled with a comfortable wide fat neck profile giving this PRS guitar exceptional playability. Abalone bird inlays adorn the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and a natural maple body edge highlights the classic PRS double cutaway body. The on-board PRS Dragon II pickups offer medium output with alnico magnets that have a unique tone falling between vintage and modern pickups. A 5-way rotary switch selects from multiple pickup coil combinations for an amazing variety of tones. All hardware is nickel including a PRS tremolo bridge, and Phase II locking mini tuners. The PRS Custom 22 Electric Guitart is exciting to behold and exhilarating to play! Hardshell case included.
I have about 22 guitars. This one is the best all around instrument in my stable, including 3 American Gibsons, 1 Vintage Guild, 2 American Fenders, Vigier (best neck), Ibanez, Dobro, and many more. Every gig I play, I get compliments on my tone. Only stomp I use is a single channel Blackstar and I play thru a '65 Deluxe Reverb. If you are looking in this price range, there isn't a better playing guitar. Neck is superior and fast.
