I bought the Wood 2B sticks and for the price they are a pretty decent set. There is no finish on them, so to me they seemed very dry and i just simply wasn't used to them. They are also lighter than other sticks i've used that were also 2B. So they didnt hit as strongly as say Vic Firth sticks. Its a preference. I'de say try them if your looking for a happy medium of a lighter but broader stick.

Best Sticks Out There!!

By Bonzo1970

from hegins PA

I owned 3 pairs of Pro-Mark sticks so far, and none of them have disappointed me. I have a pair of 5BN's that are almost 2 years old, and haven't shown any signs of breaking. One thing I don't like about 5B's is that they don't have a very loud attack. I also had a pair of 747 Rock Wood tipped sticks. They lasted for a month or two, which is good for someone who hits hard like me. I also had the 2BN's.. They are the best stick out there. Sure, there's alot of good sticks out there, but the 2B's are the only great stick out there. They're good for someone who hits hard, and who wants some leverage going around their kit. Overall, these are the only sticks you could ever need.

perfect

i use these sticks becuase the drummer from my favorite band uses them. use the 747 b stick. it's a little longer in length, and it feels amazing to hold. theyre light, and really strong. i definitely recommend this stick if you like playing fast music

perfection

I use the nylon 747's and they rule. the nylon tip (ball shape) gets that great ping sound on the ride and good power on all the heads. Durabilty compares to any other stick in my experience. Balance is superb. Promark for life.

Best for Rock!

By Justin Hiracheta

from Texas

For 3 years I searched for the perfect drumstick, and I found the 747's. I have big hands and the small sticks are hard to hold, I also play real hard so the small ones break in a week. The big sticks were too heavy and put more abuse on my set. The 747's are the perfect fit for me and they last, I love Ahead sticks but these are the best by far!

These sticks play HARD!

By Mark McKay

from boston, ma

playing in a hardcore punk band for over 20 years, you figure i would have tried a lot of sticks - nope. i started with promark and have stuck with them all the way. from 5B to 5A, these sticks are light enough to make playing seriously fast beats a breeze, and durable enough to last for several shows. now, i don't do rimshots and only play with one cymbal and low slung hi-hats, but these sticks kick and stay in the game with you. an a+ from me! (oh yeah, i play nylon tips)

Best I have ever used!

By Danodrummer

from Minnesota

I have tried various brand of sticks; Zildjian, Vic Firth, etc. Pro Mark sticks are the only ones that I have had continued success with. I can honestly say I have never broke a Pro Mark stick, they do however chip away from the cymbals--but thats with every stick. Good grip, perfect balance, and super strong.

Pro-Mark Natural Hickory Drumsticks

By Iceman12

from Hesperia, CA

These sticks are pretty good for the price. They are very light for being about medium thickness. You will go through these fast though because they aren't very sturdy. Otherwise, these are pretty good sticks for the money.
