Does what it's supposed to do...

By Brett Beightol

from San Diego

Comments about PDP SP400 Single Pedal:

I purchased the SP400 from GC's used stock and it looked pretty much brand new. Stays tight and snug despite what other may say. Have no problems with adjust-ability with the stock spring. I also feel that its aesthetics, features, smoothness and durability (for it being 2nd hand) would be pretty tough to beat at the price-range.

Great Pedal!

By Kevin

from Elgin, IL

Comments about PDP SP400 Single Pedal:

Got this pedal to replace my older Pacific pedal, and wow. Love this pedal ! I'm only a beginner but it makes all the difference ! The pedal is pretty smooth and it hits the bass pretty hard if you want it to. I like the idea of tightening the clamp of the pedal to the bass drum by using the universal drum lug. All you need is a drum key to tighten it on and it will stay ! Only thing I don't like about this pedal is the beater. It is significantly heavier than my older beater which slows things down a bit. But overall, a VERY nice pedal !

Cost Cutting Thump

By Mississippi Kid

from Gibsonburg, OH.

Comments about PDP SP400 Single Pedal:

I bought this pedal several months ago and have had absolutely no problems with it. It has all the strength of any other pedal i've used with good and quick reaction to whatever I want it to do. I've even used both feet on it like a double pedal and played it hard every day, but still no problems. This is an all around good buy.

Good Pedal if Only It would stay

By YoungDrummer17

from Maplewood, MN

Comments about PDP SP400 Single Pedal:

I have pacific drums and sabian cymbals and they are great this DW SP400 pedal is just average. It works fine if it would stay under the bass drum. I will be jamming out a hard rock beat, and it will just slide right out from under me. I'll keep screwing it in and it just won't stay.

It's ok...

By mmmike

from Beaverton, OR

Comments about PDP SP400 Single Pedal:

I got this pedal along with my drum set and I wasn't really expecting much out of the pedal. Even with just a single chain, it's pretty smooth and tough although it loosens alot. You can hit hard beats on the bass. It isn't much compared to a high end pedal, but it is worth it if you are just starting out. It actually feels pretty good in its price range. If you're a beginner, this would be the pedal that worth checking out.
