I've owned both the 700 Series and these 800 Series. The 800 Series lasted longer for me, but again, the screws/lever that tighten and hold the stand in place at your desired height, stripped on me. It just happened last night and it's the last straw. It was practically brand new too. I'm over these stands. Trust me, they look nice and have all you need, but the screws just strip so easily and I'm not a gorilla, I don't crank my stands hard. Pass on these.

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Straight Cymbal Stand:

This is the second of these stands I have bought. I use them not for drums or cymbals but to mount an electric upright bass. These stands are strong and stable and fully adjustable to my needs to hold an electric upright bass in playing position.

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Straight Cymbal Stand:

This is a good stand if you are on a budget. I bought it because I was and it as worked well for me. I litterally took it out of the box and used it the next day for a gig. I actually got 2 of them for my crash cymbals. Its made by DW so it is very durable

      PDP800 straight cymbal stand.

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Straight Cymbal Stand:

Medium size construction, tight memory locks, great buy for the money. If you have very large toms or cymbals to mount, you may want to go with the 900 series stands. over all good stand.
I bought these stands in addition to the 900 series stands I also own, to hold smaller cymbals. They work perfect, and look good along side the 900s. They are a little smaller in all around size, but I expected that.
Features are what you can expect, for this price. great price for the stand.
Medium to heavy duty hardware, memory locks have not let me down, large rubber feet. good stands.
Great price for this medium size stand.

      PDP-High Quality + Great Price!

      By brickmaster1133

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Straight Cymbal Stand:

This stand is great! It's super sturdy, smooth, and really great quality. I use 2 of these stands, one for a crash and the other for my ride. They hold up great and stay put. I also travel around with these and they definitely hold up, plus set up is fast, easy, and smooth. They're also really great for the price. Why pay more for a similar stand from a different brand? I highly recommend these stands, especially for a drummer on a budget, who still wants a good stand.

      low price, great stand

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Straight Cymbal Stand:

i had this stand for a few months now and it never let me down. first i had a 20 inch sabian and a 13 tom on it and it didnt wobble. then i decide to change my set up. Now it has a 16 inch sabian crash, a 12 and 13 inch toms and a 10 inch sabian splash and it doesnt budge. i am a very hard hitter and it never failed me. it is also very gigging strong. i had to move my drums to practice or go to a gig and was next damaged. if your low on cash and want a strong, reliable stand, buy this

      PDP 800 straight stand

      By zach the drummer

      from tehachapi, CA

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Straight Cymbal Stand:

To start off this stand is pretty strong and light and cheap. I have a 20 inch heavy ride and a 12 inch splash mounted on it and it only wobbles a little bit if I play really hard. Buy this.
