Overview

The Pacific Drums by DW P/D 800 Boom Cymbal Stand is a medium-weight stand designed for general-purpose playing situations. It combines strength, durability, and flexibility with drummer-designed details. Now features larger-diameter tubing and double-braced legs for extra support.

PLEASE NOTE:
This stand is a hideaway boom stand, which means that the boom arm is hidden inside the tubing of the stand. To use as a boom, loosen both wing bolts and pull up. The boom arm will then come up out and you can then slide the boom at an angle and adjust.

Features
  • Drummer-designed
  • Medium weight for general-purpose playing
  • Double-braced legs with large rubber feet

Very Good Stand

By Leonard

from Houston,Texas

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Boom Cymbal Stand:

I don't think you can do any better for the price. It is not quite as heavy as I would have liked but it gets the job done.

solid as a rock!

By charles mcgirk

from Clearwater, Fl

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Boom Cymbal Stand:

This a very good piece of hardware---I have a 20" heavy ride on mine, and also a boom clamp with an 18" china, with no problems. You will break cymbals before you break this stand! The hide-away boom arm is my favorite feature. This allows for quick, easy setup changes, and keeps everything nice and neat. Everything clamps down tight, and the finish is excellent as well. If you need something more stable than this, I guess it's time for a rack system. I will be buying another one very soon to replace my lightweight crash stand. Most of my hardware is pdp---snare stand, throne, hi hat, and 1 boom stand so far---overall I would have to say buy this!

Might as well

By billy

from Henderson, NV

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Boom Cymbal Stand:

hey if you're not so concerned about what name your hardware has on it, this is a great stand. and if you were thinking about getting the straight version, you might as well get this one 'cause it hides the boom arm anyway, and its like 4 bucks more. it's sturdy enough to hold my 12" tom clamped to the side of it, and it don't wobble. the only thing i don't like about it but i got over, was that it only extends once vertically, which isn't so much a going up issue, it's a going down issue and my clamp can't rest on it to great. oh well pdp hardware is the most bang for your buck regardless.

P/D 800 Cymbal Stand is solid

By USAF Drummer

from Alabama

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Boom Cymbal Stand:

I bought one of these stands and I am using it with a Sabian 18inch Medium Weight Crash. The stand is solid and doesn't move even with hard hits and that is with the boom extended about half way out. I really like how the boom can store inside the shaft of the stand. The base is wide and double supported. The finish is smooth, no blemishes in the chrome, and all the hardware is solid with multiple adjustments for height and boom angles. Overall well worth the money and I plan on buying 2 more.

pdp p/d 800 boom stand

By ochs

from hillsboro, missouri

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Boom Cymbal Stand:

this stand is amazing, i have my 18 in. crash on it and it only wobbles if you hit it extremly hard. the only thing is that if you over tighten the hight ajustment screw it puts a dent in the stand( its not very noticeable though). i would recomend this stand to anyone that needs a great stand at a very good price.

best deal in stands!

By Johnny Resin

from Taft, CA

Comments about PDP P/D 800 Boom Cymbal Stand:

if you're looking for a new boom stand, this is the one... by far the best deal around! it's super heavy duty, and reliable. i have two toms and an extra cymbal boom attached to it, and it doesn't budge at all when i play...and i play hard! It's stood up to heavy gigging, being thrown in the back of trucks, knocked over, exposed to rain, and it still works as good as the day i got it, which was a few years ago!
