Comments about PDP 700 Series Hi-Hat Stand:

I sold some Poplar wood drums to get some Maple Gretsch's. I spent virtually all the money i had on the drums. All the money I had left was used to by a Tama Iron Cobra (WELL worth the money!), all new Evans Heads all over the kit, and a used A Custom Crash. I realized having sold my Hi Hat stand (that i thought was trash) I would need a new one. I bought this with barely change to spare. I get home, unwrap it, and it has a lot of friction within the tubular construction. I thought, being the optimist I am, that being a cheap model it would take time to break in. Here I am 2 whole months later... NO IMPROVEMENT. I can still barely ope the hi hat within the groove.

Comments about PDP 700 Series Hi-Hat Stand:

I bought this for my practice kit in another country but it's pretty much useless. The spring is incredibly weak, and there is so much static friction inside the tube that the top hat barely moves up when you take your foot off the pedal. I've tried lubing everything inside to no avail. Maybe I got a defective one but I suspect it's just a bad design
