You people need to realize there are a lot of things to take into consideration. This stand is a LIGHT weight stand, if it can't support your china cymbal, that's your own fault for not finding the correct center of gravity so it won't fall. I play for a hardcore band, which incorporates a LOT of use of the crash cymbal, I use a 16" and 18" crash on each of my two stands I've purchased along with a 20" ride on my third stand, all are the Pacific 700 Boom stand, the only time they fall over are when my guitarists lean on my kit and accidently bump it. Great stand, just find the right center of gravity and tighten it up like a man!

For a beginner these are pretty good stands but if you're a hard hitter or anything of that nature I would for sure save the money for a better stand. In 3-4 years I've gone through about 5 of these and 3 others on my current set up are going to give soon. One the main memory lock in the middle can't tighten up anymore so I have to keep pulling my crash back into place. The end of the day you get what you pay for and as you can see I could have definitely saved that money for quality stands. they're alright but make plans to get better ones within a couple months.

A Sturdy Buy!

By expiredmomentum

from Dallas, TX

Comments about PDP by DW P/D 700 Boom Cymbal Stand:

This stand, compared to the stand that came with my Ludwig starter set, is very sturdy. I currently use it for my B8 crash cymbal and it holds up just great. Also, as you can see, the legs are double-braced for more foundation. I highly suggest this stand!

AWESOME STAND

By Moses

from Salisbury, NC

Comments about PDP by DW P/D 700 Boom Cymbal Stand:

I bought 5 of these for my drumset about a year ago. I use Sabian B8 cymbals, which are pretty heavy if you don't know. I have a 20"ride, 18", 16", 14" crashes. and a 10" splash. These stands hold them all perfectly! Just find the center of gravity and you're set. They don't slide around on the floor or tip over. They hold the settings I put them on because of the notched boom. They're not too bulky and so they don't make your drumset look like something from the Sci-fi channel. If you want great stands, these are the ones to buy.

Pacific Drums 700 Boom Cymbal Stand, Durable.

By SnareMan420

from New York, NY

Comments about PDP by DW P/D 700 Boom Cymbal Stand:

I have most of of my cymbals being suported by these stands. They stay put most of the time, and have never fallen while playing on them. They are very cheap, but with great quality. They aren't overly heavy either. The price is so low that you have very little to lose, and a reliable cymbal stand to gain

Pacific 700 boom cymbal stand

By ebraz96

from Renton , WA

Comments about PDP by DW P/D 700 Boom Cymbal Stand:

This is a very solid stand for a light duty stand. The boom is etched so it stays where you set it up. It has the feel of a heavy duty stand. Im very happy with the quality of this stand. Pacific Drums makes solid equipment.

Pretty Good

By Patrick

from Marlyand, Bel Air

Comments about PDP by DW P/D 700 Boom Cymbal Stand:

Bought this stand for my 18" crash, and it works, BUT it's kinda flimsy. It wobbles a little but it hasn't fallen on me, but it's not as horrible as some of the people leaving comments make it out to be. If they know they hit they're cymbals like idiots then they need to buy a heavy duty stand, it's not that much of a thinker. Did they really think that a $40 stand is going to be as durable as a dw stand? That's the same reason they make heavy duty crashes, have warranty plans, and double ply heads, for the people that don't know how to play drums and hit drums WAYY to hard. I would recommend this stand to someone who actually knows how to play drums, because if you don't it's going to brake fast, but that kind of goes for any aspect of drumming...

meet the best cheap stand out there

By Pacific Player

from Menifee, CA

Comments about PDP by DW P/D 700 Boom Cymbal Stand:

I have used them all. Sonor. Pulse. (some relatively cheap) Pearl. and of course, Pacific. (too many "p's" anyone?) This is the best stand out there for this price. It not only is very sturdy for its thin diameter, but has a capacity to hold large toms along with an 18 inch crash/ride that is mainly crashed without even wobbling. All of the other brands became loose, wobbled, and tipped over time. Not this stand. I have had 2 years of sturdy stand goodness, not a part breaking.

Great On A Budget

By Mississippi Kid

from Gibsonburg, OH.

Comments about PDP by DW P/D 700 Boom Cymbal Stand:

I own three of these and they do great. I have a fourteen inch tom and a twenty inch ZBT ride on one, and I have no problems. There is a little wiggle when I get a little over aggressive on the tom, but it is nothing major and to be expected. Hands down, a wonderful value and gets the job done. You cannot go wrong with this one.
