• Outstanding Value on this five piece drum kit

  I was very impressed with this drum kit. The hardware was very sturdy, the finish was quite impressive and the instructions for assembly were very helpful. I purchased this for my son for his birthday and he has already used it for hours on end. I originally intended to purchase a more expensive kit but cannot imagine a better drum kit for his abilities. The sound is quite impressive and thankfully this kit should last for several years before he needs to upgrade. It truly earns the five star rating for overall falue. It was also delivered quickly in pristine condition.

• Great for Limited Budget for Beginner

  This product is great for the price. I bought the set a month ago for my daughter. The sounds is good but needs to replace the batter heads of the toms and bass. I'm planning to replace the heads with evans to increase the sound quality. For beginners I recommend this product especially if you have limited budget. The set does not come with cymbals. I purchase meinl cymbals to fit the budget too.

• Good drumset for the money

  I'm mainly a guitar player but I got this drumset because since i'm starting a band, it helps out for the long run. I also like to have something to else to play as well. like I said, I'm mainly a guitar player but I play drums if I get bored or if i've had a crappy day or something, it always seem to take your aggression out. (I don't hit it all crazy, I can actually play them haha). I recommend this set to anybody starting out or is on a budget. I think it's really versatile for the most part. The one thing I would definitely do when you get this set is get new heads, the ones that came with mine only lasted for like 2 weeks and they already looked bad. I'm not just talking about the toms either. The snare looked bad too. the only one the kept it's ground is the bass drum head, even though it's the one that came with the set, it gave a good kick. I also highly recommend getting moon gel. because not even E-rings can dampen these drums enough. you have to have them tuned low to get any good sound, and I mean low! once you get moon gel, it will solve that problem and you can tune it a little higher if need be. The resonant heads which are the ones on the bottom are terrible, they made the drums sound like paper (even with one the best heads you can get on the market!) I eventually just took them off. I plan to get some Evans resonant heads real soon. I have changed the heads on the set. I have Evans EC2 heads on all my toms, Evans G1 on the snare, and an Evans Onyx black head on the bass drum (the bass drum had massive improvement once I put that on, best I have ever heard.) This set does come with cymbals but they are very low quality. the Hi-Hat is alright but definitely not great. The crash is a total blow, It has a bunch of bends in it and that is not natural for a cymbal to do that. get them changed very soon. I will eventually get the Paiste 5 cymbal pack. I'll finally get a ride cymbal haha. the crash isnt really a ride unless you hit the bell but still doesn't have the same ring as the ride cymbal. All in all, great set for the money, just some things you definitely need to get done to this set which are the essentials but oince that is done, your set will sound great.
