PDP is incredible PERIOD....Every drum they make is incredible. I have a DW set (about 3mo). Myself and a couple of technicians put two kits side by side, DW (stamped) and PDP (date stamped), after tuning and tweeking, you could barely tell the difference - you have to have a trained ear to really tell the differnce in sound. DW/PDP - INCREDIBLE...

Had to add this tom after I got the kit. Also just added the CXTT1416 floor tom. I love the sound I get. I did change the heads to the Evans EC2's, gives them a little fuller sound and a lower tuning range. These guys just punch through the PA! Would like them in deeper sizes though. The hardware is solid. The color on the wrap just pops! It was difficult choosing the color on the original kit, they all look good under the lights. I got the Blue Onyx. Love 'em!

This is a great addition to a wonderful sounding set. PDP offers you maple shells in an entry level set that rivals the sound of sets priced much higher. Test drive a set and you will see what I mean. They can be be tuned low or high and sound good whether played soft or loud. They are just great drums for the price!
