The Ovation Celebrity SS acoustic-electric guitar features A-shaped bracing that was perfected over the last few years through a computer modeling process, a technology that was once only available in more expensive instruments. The Ovation acoustic guitar starts with a beautiful top, offering a stunning appearance and balanced tone. The super shallow body design is surprisingly full, thanks to its materials and design, creating big sound from a small package. Its soft-V neck shape, 25-1/4" scale, 10" radius, and 1-11/16" nut width add comfort and playability for your fret hand. The nato neck, rosewood bridge and fretboard adds clear, lasting sustain to the guitar's sound. The OP4BT preamp offers +/-12 dB control over the bass, midrange, and treble frequencies for great tonal flexibility. It's on-board tuner is easy to use and helps you stay perfectly in-tune, even when using open or non-standard tunings. Gold tuners and hardware round out the Ovation Celebrity SS guitar and add a subtle shine to the instrument.
The Ovation sound
The sound that made the acoustic guitar a viable electric instrument is now within everyone's reach. Built by Ovation's Pacific-based subsidiary, it benefits from the same USA-made Lyrachord body as its more upscale American brothers. After much analysis and experimentation, Ovation's parabolic "bowl" shape proved to give the best projection, volume and tone. Thanks to extremely sophisticated equipment and aerospace research resources, Ovation has been able to determine precisely which specifications affect which part of the guitar's tonal spectrum. Today, more than 95% of all Ovation guitars sold around the world are acoustic-electrics, offering systems to suit almost any particular taste and application.

I recently purchased this guitar and am very pleased with it. The quality of craftsmanship is very good and the guitar plays well. Initially out of the box the neck needed a bit of adjustment but other than that it was perfect.
I have always seen these played and always wanted one. My wife bought it as a Christmas gift and I am so very impressed. It sounds as good as or maybe even better than my Takamine. Plugged in or out sounds amazing! Buy it you will not be disappointed!
This is a great guitar, i went into guitar center, and tried all the ovations and chose this one because of the amazing action on the strings, i play heavy metal, and i play KISS songs on this! the strings are low on the fretboard and it is a joy to play... the only prob is that the body is a little big,and if you are playing with a strap you might need to get a strap lock, otherwise AMAZING!
I've had this guitar for almost two years now, And it HOLDS UP. I play the daylights out of it almost every day, and I'm very satisfied. After two years of beating the heck out of it (I've dropped it at least twice) It still comes out with the same clear, bright, vibrant tone that I bought it with. It's everything you want and more, but it's definitely no starter guitar. You buy this guitar, people better see you play it, because that's the only way you can possibly do justice to this quality piece of craftsmanship.
