Rules were made to be broken. These are uncommon times. These are times for an Ovation Celebrity Acoustic. If you're bending the fretted world's rules to the limit, you need an instrument that expands your boundaries. This collection of long-scale, short-scale, high-pitched, low-pitched, wide-necked and solid body cousins goes where no guitar has gone before.

Ovation presents the first mandolin designed from the ground up as an acoustic/electric instrument. The Ovation Mandolin features a spruce top with lightweight, Mando-Quintad bracing designed to enhance punch and projection. Ovation' pioneering multi-soundhole design enhances string vibration and sustain by improving soundboard efficiency. With its Roundback composite body, the Ovation Mandolin delivers more acoustic volume and cutting power than expensive flatback models. The instrument' upper-bout soundholes are inlaid with exotic hardwoods, and a cutaway offers full access to the sleek, 2-piece satin-finished nato neck and rosewood fretboard. An Ovation Slimline pickup and special version of the OP-24+ preamp give the Ovation Mandolin extraordinary amplified tone.

Comments about Ovation Celebrity DLX Mandolin:

This is my favorite Mandolin. I have several and I simply love this one. The electronics are the clearest and sharpest I have ever heard. It may not have the classic design but it has it all over the rest of my Mandolins.

Thoroughly enjoying

Comments about Ovation Celebrity DLX Mandolin:

I did a lot of shopping for an a/e mandolin, and there were some that would not stay in tune for more than a couple of minutes (LITERALLY) and others that the feel/action just wasn't fun to play. I was hesitant about Ovation after shopping for a new a/e guitar and was disappointed with theirs as opposed to a Martin. But after getting my hands on this mandolin (which was a bit of a trial since GC is removing them from store inventory (but continuing online sales of them), so I had to call three stores that showed they had one (supposedly) in stock and drive a fair bit to do it), but once I did, I was pleased with the acoustic sound, feel, and the onboard electronics. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I am not a mandolin expert or aficionado (it's been 20 years since I had my hands on one), I just wanted one to augment my "toolset".
