NEW REVIEW - Ovation @ It's Best!

I bought this guitar about four months after Christmas and have played it almost everyday!I walked into GC and saw it hanging on the wall...I played through an Acoustic amp(which sounds Really good). I recomend it to anyone who has had experience with guitars.It rarely gets out of tune and sounds great when plugged in. I drop my picks ALOT but the bowl makes it soooooooo much easier to get them out. Thes things stand the bumps on walls or chairs. Overall, it's an amazing guitar.

TREMENDOUS VALUE

I have been looking for an electric-acoustic for a few months now, but I wanted quality without spending a small fortune. I played a few competing models, experienced some dogs at other stores (how can a Washburn a/e be worth $389?) but then I saw this guitar on the Guitar Center website. I had $300 that was burning a hole in my pocket, so I rushed over to my nearby GC and played this thing. The first one I played had a buzzing low E string. I would attribute that to a poor setup. That's when I saw the black one hanging next to it. I played the black one and the difference was like night and day. This guitar was set up perfectly and the sound from the super shallow bowl was amazing. But I had no idea what I would experience when I tried out the pickup. OMG! The plugged-in sound is amazing! It has a clean and well rounded full tone that I just fell in love with. I've actually wanted an Ovation guitar for 30 years, but for some reason it's evaded me. Granted, this guitar is made in China, but if I tear off the peghead sticker, you'll be hard pressed to find physical evidence that it was manufactured there (unless you looked at the bowl label). The only bad thing about this guitar is that it doesn't come with an alibi to help me explain my new purchase to my frugal wife...

THIS IS THE BEST GUITAR EVER

i bought this guitar 2 weeks ago, and i've never been so happy. it replaced all my other guitars, and made playing a thousand times easier and better. it's clear sound and great melody make this guitar better than any other guitar i've played. i've played $3,000 guitars, and although their price was quite big, it was not even as loud as this ovation. the sound is forced out, providing a clear and almost perfect sound after just one strum or note. i love it, it's the best, i think it is a great guitar for any price range! i recommend this to anyone, no matter their experience, because this is truly the best guitar ever!!!

Quite happy

I got this particular ovation about 3 months ago, and so far I've been nothing but pleased. It's true, it doesn't have as deep a sound as some other, full bodied guitars, but it also has a brighter, crisper tone to it. Not bad, per say, just different. After playing unplugged for a while, I tested it out plugged into a Crate acoustic amp. It was great! The shallow body lends itself well to being run through a good acoustic amp. All in all, a very pleased customer.

I love my new ovation

If you're reading this, and you are unsure of what to buy for a guitar, choose the CCO57 ovation. I bought it two days ago, and it rocks. First, it is absolutley sick. Also, you have 3 options:Pure Elecric, Plain Acoustic, or Clean (Amplified Electric.) Take my word for it. This is the way to go. Choose Ovation!:0
