The Ovation Elite 1868 TX Acoustic-Electric Guitar has a super-shallow cutaway body and a solid spruce top. The Ovation Elite features scalloped X-bracing, a rosewood fretboard and bridge, black die cast tuning machines, and a multi-soundhole bass side rosette. The onboard Ovation OCP-1K guitar pickup and OP PRO preamp deliver rich Ovation tone for a great plugged-in experience.

    If you're an electric player looking for an acoustic that still feels electric, get this guitar! This bad boy looks and feels like the perfect best of both worlds. Unplugged, you won't find a better sound from a shallowbody acoustic (with the exception of the older American 1868T which is no longer made). But plugged in, this thing sounds almost as good as even the last midbowl American 1778T's that came out, thanks to the same pickup/preamp combination. Play this thing side by side with any other shallow guitar unplugged (and even many deeper guitars) and it may or may not sound better to you. But plug her in and the competition absolutely disappears. This thing is a gigging dream come true for electric players like myself.
