Ovation Celebrity CC44 Rocks
First off, the ovation CC44 is a great looking guitar! I get many, comments on what a beautiful guitar it is. When I bought it I thought the sound was amazing unplugged. Then I bought a CRATE acoustic amp and OMG, the sound amplified was awsome! On board tuner and equalizer is a nice touch also. I am totally enjoying my Ovation experience. I honestly didnt expect that great of guitar for that low price, NICE!!

Great Guitar
i bought this guitar mainly because i wanted an acoustic electric guitar, to make my acoustic recording sound better. This was a GREAT buy. the guitar has a nice crisp sound to it, and sounds good when hooked up to an amp (or without one). i also love how it looks. PLUS IT HAS A BUILT IN TUNER which is a BIG plus. overall this is a flat out great guitar

Amazing!!!
This is probably the best acoustic electric guitar I've ever owned. The tone is incredible, the price is unbeatable, and the feel is amazing. The best part was smelling the wonderful rosewood that jumped out of the case when I got it. The whole thing is great, and I plan on using it for a long time - for recording, and live shows. Amazing instrument, as well as playability.

Great Investment for Intermediate Players
I purchased this guitar after having played for about 3 years. I was looking to take the next step musically and couldn't have been more satisfied with the results. This guitar is perfect for those who want a step up from beginner instruments. It has a great live sound and a sturdy body. The built-in tuner is awesome!

Knockout punch
Couldn't live without the built in tuner. It makes life so much easier.. and that one chromatic tuner pedal still sells for close to 100 dollars doesn't it?
Not only does this guitar look killer, but it sounds like Muhammed Ali. I feel the greatest feeling in the world playing Steve Miller Band's Serenade on this infront of an audience - I hope you get to experience this feeling also. Only minor adjustments needed on bridge - otherwise perfect instrument.

best sounding guitar in its class!!!
I've been playing this guitar for about 3 years. I do anywhere from 2-5 solo acoustic or two piece acoustic acts a week during the summer that include everything from small bars and backyard bbqs to block parties and graduation parties and I can say that I honestly do not believe that there is another guitar out there for under 500$ that will sound or play like this one. Incredible sound considering the price both plugged in or unplugged and you could literally drop it down the stairs and it would be fine (wouldn't recommend trying though). I've been looking to upgrade for about 6 months and I'm finding it difficult to justify spending 3 to 4 times the amount I spent on this for something that in no way offers 3 to 4 times more quality. In some cases the sound quality is almost a perfect match in comparing this guitar to something 1000 dollars more expensive. I would absolutely recommend this guitar and I think anyone out there with a 500 dollar price range would be foolish to buy anything else.

Great Guitar
I have this guitar for close to a year now and I have not been dissappointed. The sound is amazing, and apperance is unique. It always has a full sound (plugged in or not). I have read other reviews saying that the sound plugged in was crap, but I am here to disagree I love playing this thing through a system. great guitar. I would recomend it to anyone.

Looking for a REAL acoustic-electric?
The Ovation Celebrity CC44 is an amazing guitar.. In my opinion, Ovation necks are some of the fastest and most easily accessible necks offered on acoustic guitars as a result of a slender neck, and a cut-away so you can get up there on the higher frets. The bowl-back enables this guitar to emit a full tone and warm, resonant sound, whether it be plugged in or not.

Amazing Ovation Guitar
When I first played this guitar I was very amazed.
I was eager to buy it so one day I did, and it is beautiful, Comfortable to play, has a great price, and is great sounding. If you buy this guitar you will not regret it.

great...but
I own this as the second Ovation I've had. Love the onboard tuner as it's one less thing to carry around. Tone is good unplugged and sweet plugged in. I was disappointed in the neck being all composite is not as comfortable as wood and the fretboard is a bit narrow for my fat fingers. Also went with the mid bowl where my last was super shallow. Not as comfy when sitting to play. The variety of tone through an amp is not as dramatic as my previous and strictly has the acoustic feel. Overall a very satisfying midrange guitar but with a few quirks.
