wow...
Wow...big jump from a cheap off brand to this 4pc Venice. Lets begin with the price, a total of 650$ this set is definitely really really cheap. The color is original it really makes it stand out around others. The bass drum is a cannon! super loud and a perfect punch, i recommend getting an aquarian super kick. The toms have a rich bright sound, they become super low as well but thats not my sound! The snare drum is perfect, better than a 500$ mapex or ludwig that i have tried out. I really recommend this to any level of experience!

AMAZING ON AND OFF STAGE!
This drum kit it worth every single penny top to bottom! The only complaint I have is the factory heads for the kick drum are a bit wrinkled but can be streched out. The tom heads are decent but do need to be replaced. When tuned at 70/75 the floor tom provides a great amt. of low end and tone and NO OVER RING! The high tom needs to be tuned around 70/70(73) and gives off a full high/mid tone with a good underlay of sustain. The kick is a cannon w/a small eq pillow( Ive have not changed batter/res factory heads yet) When eq'd well on stage or in the studio all present will be amazed with the quality and sound coming out of such a small kit. If you are looking for a great road or studio kit and have a good ear for drums take this little guy home and prepare to be very very very HAPPY!

What an awesome kit.
This kit caught my eye as soon as I walked into the drum department at Guitar Center. I sat down on it and was blown away by the sound it emitted. The rack tom sang, while not giving off that annoying ring you sometimes find on cheaper kits and the floor tom sounded amazing as well, giving off a beautiful low. The snare even sounded great, but I switched out the head for a coated ambassador and it made it even better. The toms I went with the Black Suedes from Remo and what a difference. The bass drum is where it gets tricky though. If you dont tune it correctly, your mallet hits dont sound defined. So just work with the bass drum a little bit more and you will be in love.

excellent kit
i picked this kit up about 2 weeks ago, as soon as i played it i was 100% glad i bought it. It sounds amazing, and the 22x20 bass drum has sooo much power. I havnt put better heads on yet, because im poor and i need new cymbals first, but the kit sounds amazing. i got a 4 piece kit because it's easier to cart around to shows and such. the snare drum sounds good, very crisp sound. =] i give this kit 5 stars. =]

great kit for any level of playing!
This kit is well worth the money!! If you are looking for a good practice kit or show kit then definitely go with these drums. They look great and sound great. Few little things that are not the best with it are the factory heads but those can easily be replaced. The hardware is a little on the cheap side but looks great and doesn't affect the sound. They do take a little time when tuning to get the perfect sound, or maybe I'm just a perfectionist. The 20x20 bass is a cannon for sure!!! And the snare is so loud and deep! Don't hesitate to buy this kit!

!!!!!!! HOLY- BASS - DRUMS - BATMAN !!!!!
OH MY LORD! i just pick up the black/blue onyx kit, and i think i fell in love all over again. one of the best bass drums i've heard in yrs.the snare and toms aren't to shabby either. i did switch out the stock batter heads with REMO black suede heads and the over-tones are so deep and warm. i will swap out the bass drum head for an aquarian,or evans? but lemme tell ya,this is one heck of a kit.....seriously. don't think to hard or long cause it may pass you by in a flash. great price, awesome look, and a serious boom in your chest! gotta love it! props to OCDP, nice work gentleman.

GREAT SET!
I just bought this set today and was blown away. The kick is a cannon that hits you in the chest every time you hit it. The toms and snare are amazing too. It takes a little bit of time to tune everything but once you do it sounds great. Plus you cant beat the price.

Awesome sound, awesome look, awesome price.
The Guitar Center I went to had a White Onyx on display with Remo Black Suede Heads but with factory heads for the kick drum. I had the decision of buying these used at the same price but it had the heads replaced or a new in box set but with factory heads. I chose the used set. I ordered Evans EMAD bass heads to replace the factory ones. I like how you have to mount the smaller tom instead of having it attached to the kick drum. Thank you Orange County Drums for designing an awesome drum set at an affordable price.
