The 7" x 14" steel shell features dual 2" bands of micro vents, which dramatically increases the volume and responsiveness. Thick die-cast hoops help keep the snare's sound under control, so all that added power doesn't add too much ring to adversely affect your tone.   • Better than a Supraphonic!

    This is the most responsive, most explosive snare I have ever played. The slightest touch gets a response yet it has the most perfect resonance and does'nt get vibrations from other toms being hit. It is great for any type of music and the micro vent technology is the most sophisticated I've ever seen put into a snare, or any drum for that matter. This is the best snare available, no doubt about it.

  • Amazing Snare drum.

    After playing this snare at the store and having it actually hurt MY ears while jammin on it I knew it was just what I was looking for. Its definitely the loudest snare you'll hear, it picks up what you do beautifully and yes it is VERY explosive. I agree that if you don't tune this sucker up tight you wont be using the full potential of this cannon, so keep it nice and tight. I would highly recommend taking the die cast hoop off and throwing a triple flanged on there, the die cast sounds nice but the triple flanged really opens it up and adds alot. I also put a forty strand snare wire on it and love the way it sounds, I recommend that too. The only flaw I found in this snare is the snare tightener would come very loose after constant rim shots and heavy hits, It would get very frustrating to have to reach down and tighten it whenever I had the chance. I cut some thin strips of duct tape and wrapped it underneath the nob and it holds very firm and doesn't move. Buy this snare, you won't regret it.

    great snare. great amount of attack, very defined crack. tends to be a bit of ring. little bit of muffling and the snare really shines. it blows all my friends snares out of the water. it looks really cool as well.
