oh ya!
This is a great kit right out of the box, it kicks ass. I did put different batter heads of my choice on. I was looking at kits a little more expensive, then i played it and hands down it kills the price ranges competition, not even close. I've played for about 16 years and this maybe the best sounding kit I've played under $2,000. Only neg is if your a taller guy like me the shallow floor toms and 20 inch legs are a little short. Bass drum is a cannon!

Incredible Deal!!
I looked at several brands & kits over about 3 months before settling on this kit. I've played for over 25 year... have owned and played several kits. I cannot believe the kit I got for this money. These are very well built, maple kits.
The finish is not a wrap - its a hand applied lacquer with fleck. The hoops and hardware is incredibly solid and heavy - nothing cheap about these at all. Pictures can be deceiving, so don't settle on something just because it looks ok in pics. I saw a couple other brands on-line that looked nice, but, in person the hardware was really cheap on those. The hardware on this kit, however, is very solid. The finish on the lugs and hoops is very unique... a dark-chrome that just looks awesome. The 20" deep bass is so punchy and feels really powerful to play. The 6-1/2" deep snare is heavy and tunes up very responsive and tight. No regrets on this one at all. Highly recommended.

Great Deal Great Set!!!
I got this set about 3 weeks ago and i have to say that this is one of the best sets i have heard after you tune it up. the bass drum is a cannon, with a damening ring the snare has a good pop and the toms can only be described as good. the only thing i could recomend is possibly getting new heads but the ones that it came with are still decent. And it looks sick!

Great kit!
I just purchased this kit, and it sounds great! The price was right, and the 100% maple shells provide optimal resonance to any contact I deliver. I can't think of one complaint. They not only sound great, but look great too. Also, the hardware is very sturdy.
All in all, great drum set!

Fantastic! A great buy
i love this drum set! Everything is great, I love having the 4 toms, and the bass drum is an absolute monster!!! The snare drum sounds great as well. You can't go wrong with this set! Definitely above its top competitors.

new kit, new sound, new love
i just bought this kit about week ago. after 5 years on a beginner kit and making it sound good, i decided to move up to a better quality kit. first off, it came in in like 2 days which was awesome. the black nickel hardware on the silver looks awesome. sound quality couldn't be better. and the bass drum was bigger than i thought it would be. this kit was definitely worth it's price. the only thing i can't figure out is how to get of the ring in the floor toms. other than that. it's awesome

OCDP outperformed many other maple sets
This set sounds much better than my last maple kit (pdp plat series). It's ridiculously loud, yet still maintains its beautiful maple tone.
And when I say 'maple tone', I'm talking about a warm yet aggresive sound that OCDP is known for. Turn the lights on and this kit sparkles like diamonds. It really does catch the eye as well as please the ear. The only items I could possibly complain about are the clamps. The pressure of holding these heavy drums will wear away the lining of the clamp's screws. Replacing them with a brand name clamp is crucial.

An Amazing set
I got this drum set around Christmas to replace my starter set. I was looking at a few Pearl sets, but I really wanted this OCDP. It was definitely the best choice. This set has an amazing sound as opposed to my other drum set which had the tom mounted in the bass. Everything sounds great and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this set to anyone. Simply put THIS SET KICKS A**!

SIICK
Don't get me wrong but this drum set is one heck of a cannon...for the price wow! One of the best deals so far. I've had this kit for almost half a year now and it plays great (recommend buying new heads tho). The only thing that i had a problem with was that screws were falling out from the inside of the snare drum and would rattle around because screw holes were too big for the screws to fit in!! they would just fall out not being able to properly screw in. Also one of my toms looked like it had been dropped because the finish was spider webbing and the rim was dented...maybe the people who handled mine seemed not to care the day they shipped it and decided it didnt matter that they sent someone their dented thousand dollar set..other than the handling...its awesome
