The OCDP 4-Piece Venice Cherry Wood Trans is a limited edition drum shell pack that features cherry wood shells and offers additional warmth, power, projection, and an intense Cherry Stain Lacquer finish. Pro features include the uniquely offset lugs (staggered—not directly in line with each other—for a more custom look) and chrome hoops, and matching wood bass drum hoops. These drums also feature the OCDP "V" Suspension tom mounting system and a tom arm with clamp attachment, both which allow the toms more freedom to vibrate for more resonance and tone.

  • Tone and Hardware is amazing!!

    I decided to buy this kit to have a modern look not knowing what to expect tone wise. Once you put good heads on the toms and bass drum(Emad,G2 or EC2 for me) this kit really comes to life. I would rival them to DW honestly. The all Cherry shells produce a tone that is between birch and mohagany. The hoops are 2.3 mm, all the hardware is stout, sturdy and well made. Memory locks on the floor tom legs, and the rack tom mount. One thing I see as a consideration (the reason I wont give 5 stars) Is the finish. It looks great but does not seem to be very protective. I knocked the rim of the tom on the bass drum hoop and it dinged the finish. If you plan to grow old with this kit plan for a refinish or wrap down the road. I like to do that so I'm good with that. A furniture touch up pen will help if you move this kit around. All in all, Yes this a Venice outfit but this shells are not basswood like the older lines so the price point is unbeatable!!!!
