So I've had this tom for about 3 months now and i have no complaints about it at all, it has a very deep tone for a rack tom and sounds amazing in pretty much any style of music. I know that if anything ever goes wrong with it ill drop money for another one right then...i defiantly recommend it.
I recently purchased a OCDP Venice White Onyx set and order the 13" mounted tom and the 14" floor tom to be added to the oriinal set which consisted of 12" mounted tom, 16" floor tom, 20" x 20" bass drum and 13" x 6" snare. The set is dynamic sounding, has good depth and bottom end without a lot of overtone ring. The snare is really a tight crisp sound. I would recommend this eet for any style of playing. B.W.
I picked up the White Onyx kit in March of 2010 and man do I love it. For the money you can't go wrong. I put some Evans G2 heads on them and they sound awesome. I love the virgin BD. This drumset offered me everything i've been looking for in a modern kit. I own vintage drum kits that sound awesome also but this one smokes. I love the way the lugs are staggered also. The only thing I don't like about the kit is that the floor tom has a tendency to creep when the bass starts thumping in certain rooms I play in. Other than that no complaints. I would recommend the Venice Series to any drummer be it beginner or pro. I'm going to snag up the 10" Tom also when they hit the stores.
