Not an OCDP

By Craig

from Atlanta

Comments about Orange County Drum & Percussion Maple Snare Drum in Halo Flake Finish:

I was excited when I saw this from across the store but let down immediately when I picked it up. This is a GC overseas sound percussion with a shoddily cut "vent" and OCDP badge. This sounds and feels like a 50 dollar beginners drum. The other overseas OCDP snares are much better and still have a good sound despite the overseas price tag. Qualit control should have flagged this model in a heartbeat. This has ruined the OCDP name so bad in my book I'll never look at anything from them again. Sorry GC I'm not fooled by this.

Comments about Orange County Drum & Percussion Maple Snare Drum in Halo Flake Finish:

Guitarcenter should be ashamed of themselves for fielding this product. An absolute disgrace to OCDP legacy. The drum shell is unevenly sanded/prepped, the bearing edges are terrible, and there is jagged wood on the ports.

      Shiny firewood

        Best Uses

        • Firewood

Comments about Orange County Drum & Percussion Maple Snare Drum in Halo Flake Finish:

Another piece of junk from "OCDP" vents cut with jagged edges, chunks of missing wood, wrap was coming up in 6 different spots. After taking apart and checking, shell was cut unevenly. Only good part was the color. Unfortunately that was glued down by what seems to have been a six year old with a tiny paintbrush. Essentially just an expensive piece of firewood, and worth no more than the cost of gas to bring it back. Borderline disrespectful that it passed QC. But like the GC employee said "oh thats normal on drums". So maybe im just being picky.
