Comments about Orange Amplifiers SP Series SP410 1200W 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:
For years I've played my American Fender Deluxe Jazz Bass (active pickups) through an Ampeg SVT 3 pro and the Ampeg 610 Cab. Great setup for sure but I no longer needed such a large rig. I tried out the Orange SP410 and was blown away. There is no better sounding cab in its class ( I tried all of them over the course of a day and left a mess in the bass room! ). I wasn't too happy with the results from Orange's terror heads tho (way to mid range for me and a lack of tonal variation no matter what i tried to do). I wanted a setup that would give me more tonal options. The ampeg was great but it was one sound. My new setup is now the Orange SP410 paired with an Eden Time Traveler head. The response and volume is absolutely clean. I can turn it ALL the way up and tear into and the cab is right there with me. I can get dirty tone, punky mids, perfectly flat or a thick meaty tone whenever I want. ADDED BONUS, my pedals ACTUALLY come through and sound amazing. Basically, this little combo is an upgrade from my old big rig but in a smaller package.
