Overview

The Rockerverb 50 MK II tube head builds on the proven Rockerverb formula and improves the tonal range available to players.

This 50W. all-tube, two-channel head offers the ability to switch from the stock EL34 power tubes to 6L6s, KT88s, or 6550s, giving you access to an incredible array of rich tube sounds.

The Rockerverb 50 MK II's clean channel delivers a super-rich tone with beautiful harmonic overtones. It's also a non-master channel, much like on a vintage Orange amp, so when the amp is cranked the power section will break up and deliver delicious, classic British crunch that's perfect for rock and blues.

The dirty channel on the Rockerverb 50 MK II is no one-trick pony. Going from full gain and winding back gives you a variety of classic Orange tones. Whether you're looking for metal, fusion, blues, rock, or even country the Rockerverb 50 MK II doesn't fall short.

The Rockerverb 50 MK II also comes standard with footswitchable reverb and an FX loop.

Easily My Favorite

By Mark Tisdel

from Bear, DE

I've been playing Guitar now for 10+ years now, and out of all the amps I've tried over the years, this is the one. Got into Orange in 2007 and Haven't looked back ever since. The only amp I use other than this is a Modified VOX AC15 for practice at home, or to use as an extra Clean channel. The Rockerverb 50 Is a great amp for pretty much every style of music you throw at it, and with less watts that the 100, its nice to get those cranked tones at bar venues and mic'd shows. Plus that bright Orange is really Eye catching isn't it? Everything you could ask for from a Dirty Channel. Nice classic British crunch to full blown, Face melting metal! And the clean channel features a bit more tone control on this MKII Model than the previous. Controls are easy to follow and right where you'd want them to be. It's a bit heavy, but most Tube amps are. Don't forget that this is a Boutique AMP. Top of the line, Made in the UK and not a china knockoff. You really do get what you pay for.

Best all-around amp

By MARSH FREEMAN

from Fredericksburg, VA

This is probably the most complete amp that I have ever played. It really is great for just about every style of music (maybe not death metal) but where it really excels is in a bluesy, roots rock type of setting. The clean tones rival anything I've heard from any high-end Fender combo (i.e., Twin Reverb) and I might go so far as to say the tonal range might even be slightly better. The built-in reverb truly is astounding; it sounds completely natural and non-digital. Adding a little bit of reverb really brings the clean tones to life and helps add sustain and power to the high gain settings. As for the dirty channel, it is very punchy in the highs and mids but tends to muddy a little in the lower ranges which personally I like. Obviously, as both the gain and volume increase the distortion tends to break-up across a greater tonal range. The only negative I might point out is that there isn't enough sustain for certain types of soloing and riffing but this can be easily corrected by a good, high gain, distortion pedal. Lastly, I would suggest to prospective buyers to avoid pairing this amp with a speaker cab that only uses Vintage 30s because as great as they are for the highs and mids they are really lacking for the lows and the full potential of the amp can be slighted a bit. The cab I use is a 4x12 with 2 Vintage 30s and 2 G12H30s (which are great for the low tones) and I get a phenomenal range of tones. Hope this review helps and happy playing!!!

what ive experienced so far

By Danny

from ELizabeth nj

i only rated it 4 stars becase i havent used it alot yet......i just got the head and i must say right out of the box it glows....the style and design of it is really eye catching... the sound on it is also amazing.....i had band practice the other day and the sound cut through everything else in the room....it doesnt blend in with the other amps.... the only thing i dont like is the fact that it weighs like 55 lbs.... now when i first plugged it in i turned it up and started to play, and a hum started to come out of the speakers....i hit another note and it went away.....after that it didnt happen again for the rest of the night.... maybe because it was brand new or because i started to push it before it warmed up....but i will further investigate, but other than that it was everything they said it would do
