Bought this amp for a small, more portable alternative to my larger Fender amp. Going by GC reviews, most people liked it and I picked it up without playing in the store. Wasn't expecting much..... Plugged in my Les Paul and.... Wowww!! Great sound for such a small body. Clean or Distorted, basic settings -- great amp!!
I bought this amp to practice on in the house. It sounds great whether playing clean or with distortion. It was well worth the money!
Amazing sound, tone, volume, resonation;well built, good looking,I bought it in black;Probably just cause I'm an old guy or traditionest...great little Amp
This is such a great small amp for anyone looking at a travel/home amp, or for a beginner. The sound is superb, the overdrive gives it just enough crunch, and it looks cool, as well. I bought this for my 10-year old as a gift along with his first electric guitar, an Epiphone SG Junior, which sounds great through it, and after playing my Gibson LP through it, I love it. I would definitely look into other Orange amps when it's time to upgrade.
I just picked this up because my primary amp is just too much for the house. I thought I was just going to get a small practice amp for messing around at home, but was I suprised. This thing sounds great. The clean sound is very nice and the overdrive is quite nice. I can see that I will get a lot of good use out of this amp. For the money nothing can touch it. Don't be fooled into thinking this is just a practice amp.
I bought this amp as a replacement and at first I thought this was a cheap junky amp but when i brought it home and took it out of the box it seemed high quality and looked really good then I pluged it in and i was even more amazed it sounded great!! If you want a practice amp without spending a lot this is the amp for you.
I just got this amp today and its great. It sounds just like one of Orange's tube amps. Its got good cleans with a lot of sustain to it. If you turn the gain knob to 12 o'clock you can get the sound of an overdriven plexi. If you turn the gain knob all the way up you get a good distortion for metal and hard rock. When you turn the gain and the overdrive to 12 o'clock you get the sound of the Tiny Terror cranked. When turn every thing up you get high gain that it still clear and not muddy. You can get feedback with this amp which I think is cool because my Marshall Mg15 wouldn't do that even when cranked. This little amp get real loud through that 6 inch speaker. When it comes to looks Orange cant be beat nothing is cooler than that orange tolex. This amp is built to last everything is sturdy. For $90 theres nothing better. So go get one!
Great amp for anyone who is on a budget, begging guitar, or the experienced musician for that matter as well. It has some of the best clean, vintage, & old school sounds around for an amp (which is what you would expect from an Orange Amp to begin with). It plays so crystal clear and get extremely loud while still sounding great! Just about every genre of music plays real nicely on this little amp. The only problem I noticed while playing it in the store and at a friends house while jammin' away was that this is not the amp for you if want to play metal, UNLESS you have the proper accessories such as, pedals, pedal boards, etc... then it can crank out a somewhat decent metal sound, but wouldn't be my first choice for a metal guitarist whose looking for a new amp. But for everyone else out there this sound this amp puts out and for the price is a REAL STEAL!!!!!! Great little amp!
Just played this the other day and it was great. It has a great British distortion and a bright clean. I personally like the clean better because of its sustain. It is a great amp for a beginner to a pro practice amp.
