Comments about Orange Amplifiers AD Series AD200B 200W Tube Bass Amp Head:

Amazing sounding head. I play a ton of shows anywhere from 100-3,000 kids and have played with local and national bands. I have to say this is one of the best sounding heads I've ever heard. It sits so well with the mix, but cuts through just enough to be heard and add that extra punch. Although it doesn't have an effects loop (which for me I like the option) you won't need much use of one because the sound you get from this is perfect as is. It weighs a ton too but I expected as much since after all it is an Orange. Definitely the head of my dreams, I've waited a very long time to get one and I couldn't be happier that I pulled the trigger.

Orange AD200B- The Last Head I'll Ever Own

By OrangeBass04

from Oklahoma

Comments about Orange Amplifiers AD Series AD200B 200W Tube Bass Amp Head:

As the title states, this head is with me till the end. I will suggest trying out different cab combos and maybe play around with what type of tubes fit your needs best (Not a huge fan of the newer Orange cabs I've come across). Regardless, I've been hooked since it came out of the box.
Look, If you're looking to have as many pedals to mold your sound as your guitar player, buy another head. This thing has ONLY the knobs you need, but so much personality it's unbelievable. ?From smooth grooves to slap to old school drive, this amp rings in perfection. I've heard many people talk about it having only 200W, but this amp has conquered any and all size venues I've played, no matter what cab combo you play through. It's flexible, simple, and to the point.
It's built like a tank to protect all the internal glories.
I'm not going to lie, when I saw the price for the head, I was slightly taken aback.

Awesome head

Comments about Orange Amplifiers AD Series AD200B 200W Tube Bass Amp Head:

I've been playing bass for about 4 years now, mostly with my church worship band but also for jamming with friends on occasion. Ever since I've started playing, I've been running my Fender jazz bass through a Fender combo amp. I decided to finally invest in a stack, and I definitely made the right choice choosing this as a head. I go to a medium sized church, and turned up 3/4 it can shake the ground. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good bass head.

A Must Have For Serious Players

By Joshua Barton

from Bethel,Mo

Comments about Orange Amplifiers AD Series AD200B 200W Tube Bass Amp Head:

The Orange amp line gives you your money's worth. This Orange tube amp delivers a punch that most bass amps lack. It is not lacking in power like most solid state amps. Ths simple controls let you dial in your tones while having the ability to change them in a drop of a hat. It has enough power to outplay your band, group, or choir, yet it is able to quietly sound just as tight as when it is cranked. This is a must have for the serious bassist.

Killer Bummer

Comments about Orange Amplifiers AD Series AD200B 200W Tube Bass Amp Head:

i played this through a stack at my local music shop and was loving it till i saw the price tag. for that much you can buy an ampeg SVT setup or a nice Eden setup. and get way more watts. you kind of have to prove yourself before you start charging so much for your product. i dont care if these were made by ex-marshall amp makers...that price is the deal breaker.

CUTE DISAPPOINTMENT

By SUNN-MON

from Sacramento, California

Comments about Orange Amplifiers AD Series AD200B 200W Tube Bass Amp Head:

Hello, Went to my local music store and salesman offered me a deal on the AD200, 410/115 stack. Nice looking, fit and finish very good. Price outstanding. I played through the stack, very tasty. Then I plugged my 1973 Sunn Model T(4 x 6550) amplifier into same cabinets. NO SALE!The Sunn Model T blew it away and salesman was savy enough to hear it as well. $3K is a great price for the AD200 and 115 and 410 Orange cabinets. It is a good amp just not BALLSY enough for this jaded bassist. Passed it by.Peace and Happiness to all

This is the one.

Comments about Orange Amplifiers AD Series AD200B 200W Tube Bass Amp Head:

It's very expensive and it doesn't have very many knobs but lordy this is the ultimate bass amp. it's amazing how much personality you can get out of this. if you want to be kim deal, this plus a fender or rickenbacker (i have a 4003) is the perfect amp. it's unbelievably loud and pair it with the ported 15 inch cabinet, and you will move serious air. very warm and buttery smooth yet at the same time you can get really punchy and even a bit of snarl and some distortion going depending on how you twirl the very few knobs it has. it's best for indie bands, but it does equally well for metal. it's so expensive, but this is the best bass amp i've ever encountered so save your pennies.
